I just added this to my build, and am locked so no changing back.
My thought process was like many have shared, it's about the resale. And at the end of the day, comparable to selling a house with a swimming pool vs. a house without one... you don't get all your money back... but it sure is a lot easier to sell.
Too many 'others' will turn away when there are others out there that have it. (IMO)... Most people don't want to 'buy' your track driven car. They want to 'buy' your well cared for street driven car.
I am the only one less concerned about the lip, and more about the belly mid-way between front and rear axles?
Scraping the plastic lip, I am ok with.
Scraping the painted metal rails mid-belly, not so much.
The belly of my current S with sport suspension _barely_ clears the breakover at the parking garage at work, even at angle. So I think the .2 GT3 lift box will be ticked, just to provide a bit more belly room.
I use it all the time....for resale I agree with others it is often a deal breaker....know that if you do spend the money you will get most of it back on resale....
I didn't have it on my 991 GT3 and rarely missed it. I have it on my RS although the front is slightly higher than on the GT3. I use it for convenience but could easily get away without it. I'd say the main reason I have it is for resale.
worst lift is in a 570s McLaren - takes 20sec to lift. so i never used it.
at the 991 RS i didn´t had it - when the lip screatches - i always said to myself: f*ck it - just 150 bucks to replace it.
(but in silent i said also to myself: hopefully no paint-crack in the maritime blue bumper)
Have a stacker in my garage, wouldn't get on without it. If you track it and; you get towed, put on a flatbed, put on a trailer etc. you will be $$$ and aggravation ahead. Street use depends on your local but all it takes in one...crunchhhh to wish you had spent the money.
