Default GT3 PTS Allocation for October build.

Hi guys,

My local dealer informed me yesterday that i got a PTS allocation for October build. There were only 5 PTS allocations in Australia and i got one. I think i hit the jackpot here. I confirmed it straight away. Now the the tough question what colour to go for. I asked my dealer to send me a list of approved PTS colours but still waiting. I am keen on blues but can't decide if i should do Riveira, mexico or Voodoo blue.
I read a lot of threads about blue colours but opinion are always divided between riviera and mexico. I will do Black LEDS , black wheels, 18 way seats and not sure weather to do red stitching with red seat belts or silver stitching with silver seat belts. I think greens suit 911 R and oranges suit GT3RS. I won't be doing signal yellow. The other intersesting one is the dark grey one Grigio telesto.

Help please

The blues seem overdone at this point. I'd do something different and unique.

Congrats indeed. I don't think those blues are overdone in Australia at all. Riveira is probably my favourite for those 3.

Which dealer are you getting it from - Sydney has a PTS Mexico Blue in a Macan if you want to see it.

Awesome! I think the more unusual the better. The GT3 can handle any color.

Thank you. Maritime blue looks very special but i am not keen on purple undertones. I am thinking now either Mexico or Riviera.

If my dealer came back to me with the PTS option I'd go Maritime Blue instantly. The great thing about Maritime in the flesh is that it looks rich and milky if that is an accurate description. No metallic in it whatsoever...

My other choice would be on of these on the palet:

Hi all, same situation here in Italy.

My build is somewhere from October to December as I asked to put a '18 plate on the car.
After many changes I finally had a racing yellow build clear in my mind as it seemed there was no PTS window opening.
I was very happy with that no charge bright colour !
Yesterday I've been offered PTS but not sure it's worth the cost: they told me 6000 euro + VAT which seems a bit too much for a paint not adding speed to the car...

Anyway...if I do it I'll go with something "in your face" as birch green or "vintage and hot" like signal yellow.
Also would like a BRG of Brewster green, very classy and unusual on a Porsche, but too dark and delicate to keep glossy without swirls.

I'd love continental orange too but I saw the last list and it's still not approved.

Started reading PTS topics about two years ago and I was sure I would have gone Riviera at the first chance...but now I saw so many RB cars on the Internet that it seems to have already had a couple!

Also a possibility for Olympic Blue on my car...it should be a half tone between Riviera and Gulf. But it was a 914 colour so maybe better on a mid engine car in my strange mind : )

What's the price of PTS in Australia compared for example to that of a "special" paint like Lava or Miami or a metallic one?

Blues I like Gulf Blue and Golf Blue and Meerblau (dark sea blue). Mexico, Riveria, Voodoo, and Maritime are all very nice, but "everyone" else already has selected those (at least based on the 2016 GT3RS builds). I also like Gemini Metallic. Crystal blue like Z356's 1970 Targa, would also be excellent.

I think olive green also looks stellar as well as Auratium Green Metallic (I have not seen a new vehicle with it, but on a 356 it is great from the picture and is my back up if my PTS color o choice is not approved). If it were non-Metallic, I would probably just go with it.

My theory is that a GT3RS should be bold, because there is no way it can't, but a GT3 looks best in a more subtle color.

To the gentleman in Italy, if you get a PTS allocation it seems crazy not to use it.

If anyone has a current PTS list and wants to PM/email it to me, let me know. I should have asked for one, but I want a particular color which was not on the list and need to go through feasibility (I have ordered a C2 for this purpose so if/when I get my GT3 6MT allocation with PTS it hopefully will be approved already and I can get it). Yes, I may end up with two new 991 cars ....
