I was there and though it is similar to the .1 to me it looks more aggressive. The front had more of a prominence and the backend looks much more race car like. I also overheard the Porsche person saying that the numb for satellite radio will no longer be on the rear of the roof. He wasn't sure where it would be placed and speculated it would be out of sight. It definitely is worth a trip for anyone interested in the GT3.
What was interesting is they had a 911R on display and it was the lonely orphan. No one took the time to look at it.
The car is going back to Germany on Thursday.

That 911R has been there since the place opened. So I think people may have already "gotten over it."

The extended leather dash with red stitching and leather pieces for the door panels. Once I went with the dash, to complete the look I had to finish the doors.

Under the alcantara option list.
Fwiw, though I had extended leather dash for my .1 GT3 and my .2Targa I wasn't going to order the dash on my .2GT3. However, at the PEC they had a GTS next to the GT3. The GT3 had the extended leather dash and the GTS did not. The difference was striking. The GT3 interior looked so much better viewing it from the outside and inside I immediately decided to order the options. Even the Porsche representative was saying what difference in appearance. The difference was huge at least to me.

No. It was difficult because of the reflection coming from the lights and windshield.
I'll say this much. If you're buying the car strictly for performance/tracking then you may not want the option. But if the total appearance of the car matters, then the extended dash option and door panels is worth the money. The option cost represents less than one percent of the cost of the car.
