Why not be more transparent so you help out fellow Porsche enthusiasts?

What dealer?
What day/time?
What are the conditions?
Private showing?

Once again, let's all remove this cloak and dagger stuff. Because, the 2 people I spoke with said the car is not on the premises. So, is you and your dealer going in some secret room?

Games are being played. A friend - an instructor at PEC Carson - told me last Sunday the GT3 and Sport Turismo were there. I called Monday. The person on the phone was surprised - hadn't heard. She checked, said yes, they're being prepared and will go on display tomorrow (Tuesday past). Next day, I received an invitation from my dealer to an "invitation only" event Tuesday and Wednesday (this coming week) for both cars.

I just called to confirm before I drove in to Carson - I was told "they haven't arrived yet" and "We don't have any ETA for when we might see them."

So yeah - cloak and dagger nonsense. I guess I'll have to take off work Wednesday to go see them.

It's a two hour drive from SD without traffic to the PEC. Not sure I would want to make the trip.

BTW, I haven't been invited but I doubt they would deny me entry if I showed my build sheet. Also, I am sure I can arrange for my dealer to get me invited.

The invitation said "limited space" and "one guest only" so maybe there is a secret room!

This is a perfect example of everything I hate about both Politics and Big Business. As part of the original Conditional Use Permit, due to being a former Golf Course open to the public, they were supposed to open the track for a limited amount of days for public use through clubs both Porsche and non-Porsche related such as Speedventures, POC, PCA etc. and we may still see it. This was confirmed several times through the years when talking to people from Porsche at various events like the LA Autoshow. However, I'm not too optimistic about it any time soon. Like RUF RS said, they'll try to get out of meeting those conditional use agreements by using Insurance coverage as an excuse to forgo their earlier commitments. I hope I'm wrong on that tho and people do get to enjoy it. I drive by it about 1 to 2 times a week and it looks like A LOT OF FUN!!!!

I wasn't just there yesterday as I was passing by the area. Not much to do there for a Porsche owner frankly unless you buy a driving package. Nice to see the historic cars though. Reminds me of the museum in Stuttgart.

I called PEC in LA and they had no idea about a GT3 being there for an event tomorrow and Wednesday. I was told they would have one later this year. UGH!

Didn't you say you can get that arranged with your dealer? Just call them. Or do they not know anything about it either?

PM if interested.
