This little display about leathers and stitching is inside the Porsche Exclusive design consultation lounge at PEC Atlanta and shows a few of the optional colors of deviated stitching.

i hope tailoring brings some of the old tartan patterns back too! i love houndstooth, but it would be nice to have more insert options.

its not that. but if im paying 180k for a car and i know that the gts interior package on other models comes with carmine red, i expect to get carmine red. its not like that shade of red stitch doesnt exist. plus its more about the red on the seat. looks kiddish in my opinion, although over time the guards red will prob get dirty and darken a bit to a carmine red shade so its not the biggest deal in the world

although now come to think of it, why pay 5.5k for different stitching when one can pay 8.5k for completely custom seats

My wife's Carmine red Macan GTS has the GTS interior with red deviated stitching and red seat belts, and center dial. No where on the build sheet does it say "Carmine red stitching". Just RED.

I redid my 996 GT3 seats in old Porsche plaid through a local high end car upholstery shop. All in cost was approx $1k.

This should not be that complicated and no reason to go through PAG.

Had to update my post

I just checked my window sticker and the build does say carmine interior package. So now I'm even more confused

Looking at pics of 991.2 gt3, it seems that red is in fact red. The red stitching is darker than the stripe on he seat and darker than the guards red exterior. I just don't get why the seat stripe is so bright!!!

I am getting mine in launch color with red stitched interior so it should work well. I can definitely see this stripe as being a huge issue and that is one of my reasons to pick Guards Rot.

I assume the stitching and seat belts are just a "Red". Even when the marketing department calls them guards or carmine. Think about this. When it is difficult to make white bumpers look like white quarter panels, it would seem impossible to make stitching a matching exact color. Besides, all the fabrics will begin to wear and change colors with time, at a much different rate than the painted metal.

It is already possible. I have seen a few examples.

+1. The LWB inserts are easy to remove and recover. Put the originals with the horrid stripe in a plastic bag for when you sell the car. $8500 is crazy money unless you absolutely must have OEM custom CXX touches to be "factory correct" and/or 1 of 1 for some personal reason. To me, it's just a car, and already stupid expensive for my resources and use, though I do like to customize a vehicle to my own tastes and have always done so, in the old-time "hot-rod" tradition. Like CME, it cost me less than $1K to put pepita inserts in my 991 GT3.

My $0.02,
TT

Tom. Seats look awesome. I am actually looking at this option for my Carrara White GT4. It has the red stitching full leather interior so have been looking for some pics online.

Ok stupid question (sorry can't help myself)...week 45 is Monday November 6th - Friday November 10th so if my build date is BEFORE this date, say Sept 15-22, then I will not be eligible for the options the OP has mentioned will be eligible options in July on the configurator. Correct? IF SO SHOOOOOT.
