Hard one. I voted RS. I love ultra violet and love the looks of a RS. And I wouldn't have a transmission choice. But the .1 engine issue would worry me a good bit when and if they show up in the RS motors. The .2 is a awesome car and I can build it. We don't know if there will be any problems to pop up in that car yet.

The .2 will def have problems..no doubt. No new tech engine/car goes without issues. Lets just hope its not to the tune of needing to replace multiple engines or conduct $30k in repair work.

No new tech here, it's a fix and an evolution. But common... do t be so negative.

^For those of us back in 2014 who went thru that whole fiasco I have to admit I am a little gun shy. Nothing worse than picking up your GT3 (5) months later and not even being excited to turn the key. I know - I had a choice to not even take it but I was so skeptic for the first 30 days and that I sort ruined that new car experience. I am excited again to go thru the process and hoping I will be elated when I pick her up at the Dealership

My first Porsche back in 2006 I remember like yesterday when I turned that key. My Son being born is number 1 and my first Porsche number 2 on my list. Getting married still time to figure out where that one will fall

To look at I would take 991.2gt3. To drive I would always pick RS.

I think this is a flawed assumption, since there have been plenty of MSRP allocations noted already on this forum for the .2GT3, so assuming $30K markup for them will be normal is a leap. If price were the same, for sure I would choose RS, but I don't think that is happening. I wouldn't pay over MSRP for a .2GT3, and I don't think there are that many people who will, compared to the number that will be built. If .1RS prices softened that much, I would buy one, provided I could find a CPO one with a spec I like @ $30k over a new GT3. The manual in the new GT3 means nothing to me--I've owned and raced manual cars for 50 years, and the idea that "driver involvement" or "engagement" depends on having 3 pedals and a stick is nothing but nostalgia in my eyes. The PDK-S transaxle is a marvel of engineering that has proven to be quite reliable as well. I'm not going back to a manual at this point in my life.

YMMV,
TT

Oh boy this poll is going to set some folks off.

I don't own either so I don't get to vote...

This is not even close. Serously. RS every day all day.

Those voting .2GT3 absolutely voting that way because they don't want to pony up for RS. Point blank.

Put the two in front of them at even up and see what really happens.

Give me a break.
