For me it's involvement, so that means 991.2 all the way for the noise and the manual, regardless of price.
I personally prefer the look off the RS, but then I haven't seen the .2 in the flesh...

I think this is a flawed assumption, since there have been plenty of MSRP allocations noted already on this forum for the .2GT3, so assuming $30K markup for them will be normal is a leap. If price were the same, for sure I would choose RS, but I don't think that is happening. I wouldn't pay over MSRP for a .2GT3, and I don't think there are that many people who will, compared to the number that will be built. If .1RS prices softened that much, I would buy one, provided I could find a CPO one with a spec I like @ $30k over a new GT3. The manual in the new GT3 means nothing to me--I've owned and raced manual cars for 50 years, and the idea that "driver involvement" or "engagement" depends on having 3 pedals and a stick is nothing but nostalgia in my eyes. The PDK-S transaxle is a marvel of engineering that has proven to be quite reliable as well. I'm not going back to a manual at this point in my life.

With base .2GT3 selling for 10K more then .1 and by the time you put some decent options on it, you will end up around 175+, so with 30+ dealer markup you will end up paying 205+ when you can get a .1RS for around that same price.
There is actually one right now on rennlist marketplace being offered at that price.
The reason I picked 30K dealer markup is because that is what everyone I have talked to says it will end up being, dealers and other people that are looking to buy, I did not just make this number up out of the air.
Can it be less, maybe... Can it be more, maybe... I am sure the first few will pay a very nice premium.
Also it seems that the majority of people that want the .2GT3 are for the MT not because they think the .1RS is a bad car that is about to blow up any second which was something that was going around in other threads that became a little annoying.
This is something I can respect but would never consider a MT because I enjoy having the advantage with PDK at the Tracks and AXs because at the end of the day if I show up with an RS to an event, I need to put on my big boy pants or I will look and feel silly but with PDK I feel like I have such an advantage over MT that it is not even fair.

If you are lucky to get one at MSRP, get it and sell 6 month later.

This would be a great analysis in human behavior - actions vs. words. It reminds me of Burger King developing low fat items because that is what the customer surveys revealed. After the introduction of the low fat items, the take rate was less than 5%.
