That would be tough given McLaren less than stellar QC. At least with previous cars.

You would think with more Mac dealerships opening, there will be an increase in production to meet an uptick demand (my opinion).

If resale not a concern buy what you will enjoy more. Simple.

All true and valid observations but low rates don't preclude serious market dislocations (not that you were saying that).

It's often the stuff most never see coming that catches markets (and people). Then again, if you look hard enough there are often signs....

Did not buy the RS. At the end it was not such a great deal, and when I looked at the pictures, the 650s felt more special. (could not drive the car, it is far away)
But now I feel, maybe I should have bought it! Maybe I should have asked 5k on top of the RS??
Well, there are still plenty of RS's out there, plus I have a feeling they will call me back in a few days.

I think ADMs on .2GT3 will keep RS prices high. Those that get a .2 at MSRP will be the exception.

Your friends telling you to pass on an RS and keep the 650 aren't giving enough weight IMHO to how much the new 720S will kick the crap out of 650 values. Macs don't do resale value well. RS's historically do "resale value" much much better.
Try selling range $215k or less with sport buckets and PCCB's. The prices are definitely dropping significantly and here is a Porsche dealer listing of a Lava Orange RS as an example. This car is listed at only $10k over MSRP with under 2k miles and can likely be bought for even less.

That is a pretty RS.

One thing I've noticed lately in the UK is a lot of RS's and F12's on the car spotting Instagram accounts, that's an attempt by owners to up the cars stature before they sell; and they're selling before the replacements launch, the new RS and 812 Superfast. I'm also seeing an increase in 675LT's likely in response to the 720S and inevitable 720LT announcement.

These cars are 2 years old now. New replacements on horizon. This ad seems to be the exception and a great buy for sure. Vast majority are still in the $250Kish range.

My UV RS will be coming up for sale in the next few weeks...4,500 miles at $188k MSRP with full wrap and BBI rollbar only 4 track days on it. I'll be listing it for $220k.

Prepping for .2 RS, or getting manual .2GT3?

It is absolutely the same car. I don't like the fact that the dealership website made no mention of this issue, and linked a clean Autocheck. This car is also listed without notation on the Porsche pre-owned search engine. Still, at $205k (listed in the for sale section now at $210k with room to negotiate apparently), it would be a pretty compelling valuation, just not nearly as attractive a deal as what the dealer website leads one to believe.

Waxer just breathed a sigh of relief
