When the price of an asset (disposable or not) doubles in a matter of years it's natural for the focus to shift as well.

Maybe someone needs to start a GT car only closed facebook group. You need to prove track time to be admitted?

I'd do that, but I think it's slightly hypocritical of me to start one since I may be selling the GT4.

I think this extends to other brands as well. Two dealer events I was invited to were also attended by quite a few pros. The invitees seemed to enjoy their presence, and I could see that the cars became secondary. Those pros were not the type that race cars for a living.
