My first instinct would be to say yes. Not 100% sure.
I'm swamped. Can anyone do highlights from USA configurator vs. Canada, etc?? USA seems most limited.

Standard equipment lists "Bi-Xenon™ headlights incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)" and it's also available for $780 under the exterior options. What's the difference?

R will stay overpriced just because it's limited and numbered....As long as R is only 991 GT 4.0 manual ever made with wing delete and special underbody aero to compensate, LWFW, and the nice brown leather and houndstooth seats, special dials, etc., then maybe it's at least a bit more justified than limited production number appearance only edition cars like the one above.

Agree completely on first paragraph, but not the second.
Read APs full technical description in the Pistonheads article. The .2 GT3 specifically doesn't have a lightweight flywheel to protect the engine as this engine will be abused a lot more than a 911R. He said that if you add a lightweight flywheel to this engine, it will make the engine less reliable.

There was a reason why the 991 Gen I motor never made it into the Cup car and there was a reason why the argument that you couldn't put a manual in the 991 GT3 never held water. Personally I'll do what I've always done, which is wait to see if it's verified or disproved on the track.
That could be a real issue for the upcoming 3 and 2 RS. Forgetting the fact that some of us hate back up cameras, how do you have radio delete with mandatory back up cameras? Maybe via the small LCD in the instrument cluster?? Stupid but doable I guess.

The info on the manual is very interesting, where AP explains why the dual mass HAD to be used and that even if the single mass flywheel fits, installing it will ruin the engine. Also how the manual actually produces more power... fascinating tech stuff:

F*** back-up camera. If I want a backup camera, I'd buy a Kia.
because race car.

Dangit. That's a shame. I've been told that the folding backrest is to access the rollbar adjustment on the ClubSport package.
Also .. on the european configurator .. clubsport option: if you read the information about the clubsport package, you can read "not available with Option Touring-Paket (Bestell-Nr. 039)" there's some speculation in europe by people with contacts inside Porsche that the touring option is more than just seats. Maybe an R type engine lid with no wing? We'll see.

Dealership called me and had me come down to spec mine out today as well. I went with chalk, but I'm torn. I really like the metallic graphite blue as well. I know the Chalk with the black wheels and headlights is a racier look, but I tend to like some color on my 911s. Other options in a nutshell were the LWBs, upgraded interior, silver belts, and CF trim.
Any input on color?
