I'll just leave this here...

Porsche is always very conservative. Maybe too conservative. But how is Porsche going to confirm the top speed? This guy had the ***** to mash the pedal for over 3 minutes to find out the truth. Easily one of the best (and fastest!) cars in the world.

You see Rob, that's why I ordered "Racing Yellow", it's the only coloured car with the extra option to go this fast. Hell, I thought you knew this.

This guy had ***** to go that fast.

And BTW,the 911 R with a manual transmission has a higher top speed than both the RS and GT3. And it has been tested on the Autobahn as well :

Why would you want to heel and toe on the Autobahn Rob? Serious question. Perhaps it would be a good idea to refresh your memory on why heel and toe is done. To put it briefly : it's done in order to prevent " upsetting " the balance of a car in turns.

BTW, I edited my previous post. I don't want to make this a PDK vs Manual debate thread, and clearly things could go there. And there would be no need to heel and toe. You rightly corrected me on that.

I hate to be a buzzkill, but there's usually a difference between he indicated speed and the actual speed. Like 3-5%. An indicated 210 is probably closer to 200 in actual speed. Pretty much all manufacturers do this. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong - I don't own a GT3 - but every car I've ever owned always shows a slight difference in indicated speed vs. actual speed (can easily be seen anytime you pass a radar station that shows your current speed).

The takeaways from this video are:
1. This guy has *****.
2. Things happen quickly at 200+ MPH.
3. I need to move to Germany.
4. There is nothing that sounds as good as a flat 6.
5. Porsche's numbers are really conservative.
6. The 991 GT3 isn't just a track weapon.
7. Racing Yellow may in fact be the fastest color.
