Every time I watch a GT3 video, it makes me want to go and jump in my car

That has to do with aero, not the transmission.

It is a percentage skew done on purpose, rather than a fixed amount.

it might be 3mph at a fixed speed (say 60mph), but the speedo gear is what drives the indicated speed, so that obviously changes with your speed. I also doubt that if you're going 5mph, your speedo would read 8mph. it just doesn't work that way.

I have measured it a few times against an independent GPS and it seems to be about 5% at any speed. Although I haven't been at 200 mph!

No problem Ryan. I am sure you can, but you might want to make your flight one-way just in case!

Regardless how fast this car was really going, it was a great video. I had not seen this car taken full **** before, so this was eye opening. It is a absolute missile.

Yup. Scales as a percentage, not a fixed delta. Need a GPS to get an accurate speed. If you're gonna risk your life doing this, you'da thought he would have gotten the proper equipment first. Nobody buys the speedo at these speeds.

I believe Euro law is that the speedo can't read less than actual speed, but can be at most 5% + 10 km/hr off.

Great video and thanks for sharing. And, yes, it's true Racing Yellow is the fastest color!
