Mind if I join in?.. have tracked all three a small amount.. 2/3 on same day, and then again 2/3 on same day.
991RS: amazing front end, telepathic pdk in automatic mode, best noise. Not very comfortable inside compared to other two. Really fun to drive differently than the others.. rear-engines and requires some finesse but most fun to power out of slower turns with.
458 Sp: dances and sings.. really rewards smooth driving, less forgiving than RS, will plow understeer if you're messy.. undertire'd front end. I had a difficult time connecting, also the steering is way too light, makes no sense to me. Transmission not as good as pdk, much more comfortable and roomy.. great sound also, I prefer RS.
LT: perfection. Best steering by far. Carbon chassis and magic suspension work like a charm on road and on track. Incredible power and torque, much faster than the other two. The ultimate track weapon, and very comfortable on road also.
I won't address looks or fit and finish etc.. just pure driving experience. LT is the daddy, superior in all ways.. but I would still take the RS from a pure badassery standpoint. (I can't describe "badassery" but in my mind it's a combo of boy racer attitude and welcome imperfection)

As you can see from my signature I have a 650S so I'm familiar with McLarens but I am considering upgrading to a 675LT sometime in the future, so I'm always interested in people's opinions who have had the oppertunity to drive all these cars back to back since I have not had that oppertunity.
Thanks again

I consider the LT as McLaren's 'hail Mary' following the uphill battle they faced from the press with the 12C/650S - namely not being considered by some as 'emotional' enough. They knew they needed to knock it out of the park and pulled out all the stops with the LT. I think the magnitude and cost of the improvements they made over the 650S was well beyond what most manufacturers do for their track day versions.
The acceleration is breathtaking and borderline intimidating. The cracks it makes during up and downshifts are addictive. Several reviewers have commented that the car feels dramatic even at slow/street speeds - and it's true. The YouTuber Mr. JWW's reaction in the link below was similar to my own - and he's also owned a 991 GT3 and Speciale.
The fun starts t 5:30.

I have owned and driven the 458 sp, RS, and LT
Rating in order of best to worst per car
Noise 458sp, 675 LT, RS
Power LT, 458, RS
Brakes LT, RS, 458
Steering LT, RS, 458
Grip RS, LT, SP
Transmission: RS, LT (close but PDK feels bulletproof and LT paddles superior) 458
Lap times short track LT , RS close , 458 no chance
Lap times long track, LT way faster, RS, 458 zero chance
Tires: RS Michelin, LT trofeo (only last 2 track days max), 458 (fronts destroyed on track)
Ease of access to 8-9/10ths: RS, LT, 458
Attention/ Gum ball effect: 458, LT, RS
Conclusion: LT is best car of bunch. 458 most overrated, RS most aware of budget gap and unless purple just looks bland compared to both.
Personal subjective: LT remains best car I have ever driven excluding 918, F1, P1.

The conclusion after driving each is that the LT is deserving of being an equally, if not more desirable and legendary drivers car from this era. I'm fortunate enough to own all 3 and they each have their own personality and strengths. CAlexio expressed them very well.

Thanks Scrappy1972 and CJ for the feedback. There is no better opinions that I value than from actual owners or those fortunate enough to have had the oppertunity to drive these cars back to back with no agenda as this is a Porsche board afterall.
I did get a ride in a LT last summer on track with a buddy of mine (former Cup Car, current 570 GT4 driver) and was impressed at how well this car handled when pushed hard. I was also impressed with the torque delivery, it made the 650S feel asthmatic in comparison. I still need to actually drive the car before making any decisions or should I say push me over the edge. Let's just say that the man math is hard at work !! (I won't sell the house but may loose it in the resulting divorce)
Thanks again guys.

LT values will hold better than any other mac other than P1..........until the 720LT variant comes out.
Cars with great engineering that also represent the last of an era, will hold value like the Speciale and 997.2 RS.
The 675LT won't be special once the 720LT comes out, as the 720LT will be a lighter, more powerful turbo, like the 675LT was. The 991 RS won't hold Value like the 997 RA unless the 992 RS goes turbo.

But I've been wrong many times in life.. so who knows

I think the 570s looks much better and drove well but the sounds and feel of the 458 were another world..so I'm leaning that way now..
