10.3sec 1/4mi

"Along with the new teaser pic comes information on the new Proactive Chassis Control II system fitted to the car. It uses seniors to read the road and tyres to change the suspension damping, keeping it continually optimised. The driver can choose from Comfort, Sport or Track modes to decide how the car’s computer system uses the data it’s constantly collecting.

Another new feature is McLaren Variable Drift Control, which allows the driver to control the stability control to a greater degree, allowing more control over the assistance systems at play for the driver."

I was just at the P14 event in NY, the car is on another level. What was most most impressive me is the mechanical grip increase and downforce increase. Don't want to give many details, but they've won me away from Porsche as a repeat customer.

McLaren has certainly upped the ante. Hopefully Porsche is paying attention.

Yes, but will you have to hand over $1m for a car you don't want in order to get an allocation?

Hopefully they stuck some wider tires on it. Couldn't imagine what a McLaren could do with meats as wide as a GT3RS or wider...

Lol - fortunately not it seems though all I've done for now is handed over a 5 figure deposit. Though my dealer obviously has their P1/P1 GTR customers that take priority, it seems to be a more level playing field.

Really focused in on development vs changing size - results sound very good.

Just got the specs at the reveal. This car is a game changer. It will take a lot for Porsche/Ferrari to compete with this car.
