One thing in the R8's favor is servicing costs. If you buy Audicare at the time of purchase for about $1,000, all maintenance costs are included in the factory warranty time/mileage frame.
Had an opportunity to test this car last week in scottsdale, in more ways than one. Truly a great piece of kit, and a safe one at that too. Seems like a value at its base price of 205K
Someone else might have said this earlier in the thread, but if not, I might also suggest driving a 650s. A very lightly used coupe can probably be found for similar money as a new 570. IMHO, the 650s really is a lot more car

Regarding the reliability comments I've had a transmission replaced on my 2015 macan turbo and the vacuum pump just went out on my 2017 c2s with 3k miles

It does. A month after having my M4, something hit my oil cooler and I had to get a brand new engine....worse experience but cant get attached to replaceable objects.
I find it uninspiring, even with various different exhausts. The old 5.0L (only available on the Gallardo) sounded incredible by comparison. Audi must have changed something on its conversion to 5.2. Sounds more like a V8 than V10. You want nice V10 sound, listen to a Carrera GT. THAT is how a V10 should sound. Probably the same firing order than on Vipers, which sound equally uninspiring. On the good side, the DCT tranny is miles better than the old single-clutch unit, but still lacks the PDK character. Flaccid and unperceptible upshift gear changes, mild upshift 'explosions', and mild throttle-blips on downshifts. Not a bad car, especially if you don't have a Ferrari/McLaren/Porsche dealer anywhere close (like in my case). That'd be the only reason I'd choose it over the other brands, if at all.
Looks like your selling your two GT3's and keeping the two RS's. Nice to have that problem.
Thank you. They will still be driven as they were meant to be until they are sold. But I stand by my word of always having a GT3. I love the classic 911 body with the molded wing.
Auto creep is to protect the clutch. When the clutch slips and you are letting it sit with no feet on a pedal, it's easier for ecu to slip clutch and let it creep in gear vs never being engaged more than 50% and riding the clutch the whole way.
