Let's round to 2,000.
Really, whether it's 1,500 or something higher, the future value will depend more on a host of variables, including future model alternatives, what we're allowed to drive in the future, etc. The next 25 years likely won't be a continuation of the past 25 years in terms of appreciation.
The RS is a great car, no question. And it should come as no surprise to anyone the next RS will be even better. If it's the last normally aspirated model, it will be THE one to own IMO.

20 years from now, what will the rules be?
Do you still think we will be allowed to flog these beauties on racetracks around the world.
Sound
Liability
Environment
I doubt it?
Maybe a couple of no sound restriction days at tracks that are out in the boonies?
Street driving will be awful. Automatically controlled speed everywhere? No access to cities without pure electric mode?
These cars are meant to be driven and taken advantage of today. They will be worthless museum pieces of art in the future.
Hopefully my kids will enjoy looking at them. I'll be sitting in my favorite chair smoking a cigar (if allowed) 😂 thinking about all the experiences I had!
By the way,
It normally takes 20 years for a car to get back to msrp. 😉

Per Wiki:
6500 GT3 RS
3500 GT3
Worldwide for the 991.1. So my question is why are they still going over MSRP??? The number of units is about 5x as much as the 997.1 or 997.2. Pretty crazy.

And is the market ready to absorb a few thousand more .2 RS's? Considering the .2 GT3 and GT2 are not limited models and will consume much of Porsche's GT production capacity for what's left of the 991 life, it would make sense that the .2 RS will be a limited edition send-off model for the 991. 520hp 9k rpm 4.0L, magnesium wheels, carbon roof and carbon anti roll bars included.
