This matches very closely with what I have recorded.

1208 US
212 CAN

The only issue is that there are around 100 missing vins within the ranges which I believe are US cars. So I think the US number is more like 1310.

Your #'s or their #'s... Does it matter? Enjoy the fantastic machine you have and just be grateful that you're alive to enjoy it.

Yes my friend you are right. I am not totally objective as I do have an ax to grind as does everybody however with the subject it is somewhat easier to be objective in the sense that numbers are numbers And my numbers are not based merely on speculation but certain data points and calculations.

In the end you are right it doesn't matter if you love what you have and enjoy it. I certainly love what I have in the RS and do enjoy every second of ownership. Spectacular machine. I am very fortunate and blessed to be able to own one.If you notice I am merely participating in a thread the subject of which deals with production numbers. Others clearly have an interest in it as do I.

My numbers are very similar to those of Loess who has spent a lot of time and effort tracking these numbers and not relying on what the cleaning ladies have said.

So if we back out the 300 918 Spyder owners in the USA that could have purchased the RS, that leaves about 900 991.1 RS's for everyone else in the USA.

They seem to gather data from locate information as best I can understand.

There data seems pretty accurate for NA numbers.

No numbers on 991 GT3.

NA Numbers for:

991GT3RS 1421 (less 300 for 918 owners).
997.2 GT3 RS 612
997.2 GT2RS 141
997.2 GT3 715

Porsche does not make VIN's in sequence and skips VIN's in a given range. So a VIN range does not translate to the number of actual vehicles produced. And there are vehicles with VIN's that are outside of what the VIN range is commonly understood to be.

I'm am still finding cars appearing occasionally. A couple weeks ago I found a couple of cars produced in October 2016. I'm not sure how you can be so confident that the 100 missing numbers were not built?

How many R's do you know of? There are a lot of those missing last time I looked.

Well the only thing for certain are taxes and death. But I am pretty certain there are not another 100 GT3RS laying around somewhere off the radar ... but you are entitled to your opinion.

I can say that we will re-examine our database in 60 days and if there are additional VIN's for GT3RS or 911R I will let you know.

a letter from porsche out of a GER forum where a
991.1GT3 owner was calling to them...

.1 GT3 were 6.083 units produced.
and who thinks there are more .1 GT3 than RS?

maybe somebody could doublecheck those names / Porsche Employees if real.
