There’s more cars but I’m limited by the signature length limit lol

@raclaims Could-you, please, share your driving impressions of the 991 R, compared to the (964) Singer?

@928cs Totally different experience driving the R and the Singer. The singer is much more raw and old school yet still handles kind of like a modern car. Brakes are from 993 gen so a little less bite than the R as you'd imagine. The R feels huge and super comfy if you hop in after the singer.

I've driven them both recently on the same amazing twisty mountain road...one week apart...the R I could attack the corners - the Singer I had to be more careful yet compared to an "original" 964 it's like a world of difference.

They are very different machines but a perfect combo...old school vs new school trying to feel like old school if that translates! I commute to work in the R often...not sure I'd do that in the Singer yet it's totally do able if you wanted to.

The Singer feels very tightly screwed together for an "old" car...which gives you a ton of confidence pushing it in the corners. But relatively long throws with the shifter and less bite in the brakes gives up some time. Singer visibility is terrific but also solid in the R. Singer sounds the business...R mimics the business as well as a modern car can....

Bottom line I freakin love both of them...too bad I can't drive the damn CGT this summer...but I'll suffer and drive these lol

FWIW, I also drove the 812 GTS on the same roads...top down...v12 blaring...doesn't handle as well as the R but the monster torque makes up for it...really enjoyed the GTS on that road...next up is the 812 competezeone this weekend.

I have a Singer question….Do you have a 5 speed or 6 Speed? How did you decide which way to go and what do you recommend? TIA

No reason not to take the 6spd. Both similar G50 boxes, so may as well take the extra ratio.
