Default Stock tires, lots of tread no grip

Sorry if this topic has been discussed.
It looks like I got lots of tread on the stock tires, but my last 2 track days, and worst the last one, the car was all over sliding. I have 4 track days and quite a few road miles. I have heard about heat cycle, which I would say these tires have gone through at least 9 times. Are they done?
It was frustrating driving the car, it seems I had better grip on my last m3 with super sports.

Edit: just hurts to see the amount of tread that is left, but have to cough up 2k for new tires. Another thing I did not mention, the cars seems it is driven on rocks. I thought I may suck in driving this Porsche, but it over steers under throttle, frustrating.

How many miles do you have on your tires? These R compound tires don't last very long. Sounds like they are done

About 7k miles. I kind of know they are done, but did not expect to see the amount of tread left.

Mine have gone the same way. 18 months old with 50% tread and no grip. I was told the rubber gets hard and loses it's grip about this age.

How were your tire pressures? I have over 12k on mine with 4 days at the track so probably between 400-450 miles on the track. Mine are now heat cycled out, but the biggest problem was tire pressure increasing while driving, not even just on the track. The tires were getting close to 40 psi from a cold start at 33 psi and the rear end was very loose. Much better when pressures were dropped.

9 heat cycles seems like too few for the tires to be heat cycled out.

I know what you mean. I think the temps and psi go higher since the cars is sliding around too much, which makes things worse, rising the temp and Psi even further. Viscious cycle.

4 track days is more than 9 heat cycles? if you do 4-5 sessions a day then thats 16-20 cycles, plus some long fast road work and add age into the equation and I can see how your tyres have cycled out. my first set went after 6500 road miles and 4 track days...

I average 3-4 sessions per day, so now they have gone through probably 12-14 cycles, including my last day at the track. But they were sliding really bad during my last 2 events as I mentioned.

I am running MSCP2

it's time to forget lap times and just get your moneys worth out of the remaining tread. slip and slide a bit will be like driving in the wet. lower those pressures way down 28/31 hot and you may still have some grip left. Now order a new set and have them at the ready. Welcome to the track..$$$$$$

Your tire pressure is probably way too high.

Definitely heat cycled out. That lots of use on the tires.

First couple weren't too hard on the tires...patience learning the car. And I only got two sessions on the second day. I think that helped them. I just ordered a new set.
