Default CCB CHEAPER To run then Steel rotor now?

Giro Disc will be selling Carbon Ceramic rotor front and rear for complete set $3500
If they hold up as long as PCCB (Brembo) they should be less cost to run then steel rotors

Will they be in the same size of the pccb? Or will you have to mod to fit?

This kind of price seems unreal!

I'm pretty sure that you NEED to have bigger ceramics compare to steel, if you want to preserve the same braking ability!

Don't know where you got this info but it is incorrect. Giro Disc is currently making PCCB replacements in steel for $3500 a set. Have sold about 6 applications for GT3 and GT4 and they all have worked as advertised.
No failures.

Prior to my involvement with Giro Disc I was nervous about stories I had heard about failures. In their defense I have to say I only have had 1 customer have a premature failure....and they took care of it immediately.
Early on Giro Disc allowed RSS to make and fullfill all Porsche orders.
This turned out to be a big mistake...resulted in many failures and poor customer service. Then they took everything back in house and things have improved drastically.

So you think the Ccb price of $3500 quoted is incorrect? Would love some for my Spyder at that price

Good to know, thanks. Issues were major cracks reasonably early in rotor life.

I have one of the 6 sets. Two weekends at Mid-Ohio and they have no cracks or grooves. I used Ferrodo 2500 pads. Compared to the PCCBs they replaced on my GT4 they required a bit more force on the pedal. Other than that no issues. I don't know if the price for replacement rings are set yet but I think it is in the neighborhood of $2000 F & R. Clark can confirm the pricing.

I'll buy another set.

Would they have a set to suit a 993 RSR, 380ml fronts?
