It's not an "if" question. 991.2 gt3 will be NA, RS will be turbo. If you're not on a list already, you're not a buyer (at MSRP). Everyone who can afford and access one, wants one. Let's not kid ourselves

Just so I understand, are you saying there will be a GT3 RS that is turbocharged and sits between the GT3 and the GT2 (RS)? Or are you saying the next RS will be the GT2 RS?

I don't know if it will be called gt2rs, or gt3rs. I know it will have the gt3R race engine in it which has been turbocharged, this is the car in all the pics. this info is from my level 2 source, as close to AP as anyone I know.

Regardless, my point is, everyone who can, will.

It's evolution and likely inevitable. Porsche always makes incremental changes that improve their vehicles IMO. You don't have to agree with me just my perspective. And, yes, I will buy it. Just as I bought a 997.2 GT3 and 991 GT3. I appreciate new technology, improved performance and going faster around the track. I will look for the point-by from the 99x NA when art the track. It's just what it will be.

Go with what works for you. Keep the NA, enjoy it and have fun. Or go with potential turbo if that floats your boat and enjoy that. We love Porsche cars, so let's do just that.

This issue of semantics may cost me a car. I'm first on my dealer's list for the GT3RS. I didn't even think to get on the GT2RS list.

I would guess a GT3 RS (whether turbo or not) would have to have an incremental power bump over the last GT3 RS, so maybe around ~525hp or so, while any GT2 RS is going to have far more power (some say close to 700hp). Is the model you're thinking about more likely to land in the 525hp range or the 700hp range?

Sorry, no idea. I try hard NOT to contribute to the "speculation as fact" game, and only post what I truly hear from my single source. All these articles which people are linking seem to say 600+.. That sounds more like a gt2rs type vehicle but who knows? It would be weird though for Porsche to introduce a gt2rs without first introducing a gt2 no?

I'm a buyer of NA cars and not turbo cars. I've had a modded Toyota Supra and a modded 996 Turbo. Been there, done that, and not going back.

Well, it would be unprecedented but not necessarily weird. I think the GT2 has always been a pretty niche vehicle and Very niche in an lineup where there is both a GT2 and GT2 RS. I can understand how Porsche might find it redundant.

I can also understand that you're finding it difficult to know whether we're talking about a GT3 RS here or a GT2 RS. I think the crux of the matter is that this RS (whether 2 or 3) is going to be the homologation car for the new endurance race car. And all signs seem to indicate the race car is going to be turbocharged and possibly mid-engine. So, I think we're talking about a GT2 RS (but not mid-engined for the road - they likely have a waiver from the racing regulators to allow for the divergence between street and track cars on this issue).

Exactly what I've been saying for a while. Buy what makes you happy. Remember, Porsche is not telling us what to buy.

Absolutely not, unless PAG offers a stick shift turbo power GT3/RS. Then I will be interested it.

I'm a buyer only if normally aspirated and a 6 speed manual. Getting one at MSRP and paint to sample is just a dream of mine. Wish me luck

thx Calexio.

i got the same info.

but question is: If Porsche will name it GT2RS (what i think) and further if they will produce also a 991.2GT3RS.

991.2GT3 will stay NA. still 3.8l is my guess.
so why it should not also be possible with the 991.2GT3RS?

the fact against is the big amount of 991.1GT3RS cars - but ok... they are still to less.

i would NOT want them to bring a 991.2GT3RS in NA - because i do have a 991.1GT3RS and have no idea where to get a 991.2GT3RS from - but thats egoistic af from myside.

991.2GT3RS4.2 will also come - like the 997.2GT3RS4.0 came - this time as the last of NA kind i guess.

Quick Reply: If the 991.2 GT3/RS is a turbo, are you still a buyer?
