Remembering back to before the 991 GT3 and RS were in our hands and trading for over MSRP these were all "deal breakers". The more things change the more they stay the same.

-Rear steering
-No manual (your steadfast however neanicu)
-Wheel diameters too large, no rubber options
-Too large, too heavy
-Bad color options
-Too expensive
-No buckets at first
-Centerlocks
-No motorsports connection
-No Mezger

not for me. the 991 gt3 rs is so capable i need to work on my driving before i buy a faster car. the NA engines are increasingly rare and I love 'em!

Something else I was thinking about. When Ferrari went from NA in the 458 to the turbo in the 488, there were significant gains in both hp and torque (570hp to 660hp, 398 lb-ft to 560 lb-ft - I need to double check these numbers). Does Porsche need to be competitive in the % of gains from .1 to .2 GT3 if they eventually go turbo? Of course there's more to the equation than just power.

Sure,there are early adopters and late adopters. The late adopters will kick/scream/make threats and cite sources. They will " fight battles " and " win arguments ". But they will stick around and read,read and read. They will get convinced eventually. Rennlist is like a drug,trust me! The Kool-Aid is too strong. Remember the 991 GT3? Most of the late adopters gave in. I know what I'm talking about! History will repeat itself.

Depends on the noise it emits, but there is good chance I wouldn't just based on my love for N/A.

Turbo at 8000 rpm with a nice noise would probably get my attention though.

991.2RS won't be turbo charged.

992RS will be "midengine" turbo charged.

Dream scenario is that the 991.2RS will be the last holy grail NA!
So all previous RS models will be worthless and find their way back on track.

I'm guessing that any fundamental layout change would happen at generation change, not at facelift time.

We can look to the 488/458 forum for a preview of what this board will look like. It goes a little like this. There are endless tirades about the sound or lack of sound of the 488 because it's turbo. Then there's the group of people who don't care about the increased 488 performance over458 because they don't measure a sports car capabilities by is its speed. Oh another group says its engine is to small in the glass window. Then there are those who say they will hold their 458 because the hay day of Ferrari is over. From there is quickly dissolves into insults and size references that I believe have to do with dare I say member size. A couple of detours into speculation on future values then throw ins dabbling of build numbers and speculation on the number of 488 sitting on dealer lots. Oh not to be outdone are the people who won't take delivery of

Agree - but that means the factory never campaigned the 991. If that's the case, I'll pass and not buy a new Porsche until they get back to their racing roots.
