Almost 2 years and for about a year now I've been trying to trade if for an RS then R8 then Huracan then back to RS (no R). Now waiting for the GT3.2. I keep loving every time I drive it or take it to the track. Just love shopping I guess

I like the GT3 a lot as a track car that doesn't require trailering. There's currently nothing else out there I'd rather have for that purpose. If something new comes along which looks substantially more compelling for that purpose, I might replace the GT3 with it, but that will be very difficult to achieve given how good the GT3 already is (and I like the PDK; not interested in manual for this type of car - Porsche got it right). So as long as I continue to go to the track, I anticipate keeping the GT3.

I won't necessarily replace the car just because the warranty runs out. The rate of further depreciation will slow down at that point, and an investment in some rebuilding could keep the car going reliably for a long time. We've heard of issues with engines and transmissions, but the vast majority of these cars haven't had issues, and mine is running strong with a lot of track and road miles on the odometer.

What are the engine issues?....Besides the initial replacement did I miss something that there are ongoing issues with the car?...

6 months ago it would have been easy for me to say "forever", but I lost my job and now who knows. We will see what the next career opportunity has in store and how family life progresses and a lot of factors that say: I drive it now to enjoy it but recognize, just like life, it could all change tomorrow.

That hardly equals engine issues....every model for every manufacturer has some issues.....little to no impact on how long people keep their car....

I'm in the same page. Just bought DMS headers to add a little more excitement at the 3 year ownership mark. Still enjoying the car and getting quicker in it, haven't yet tried other tyres or significant geometry changes so I think it will be at least 2 more years before I would think about letting it go.the fact of the matter is as a MT fan with this car I have to concede the PDK is better on the track and the 9000 rpm pure drama, so if I were ordering the 991.2 Gt3 it would be PDK, and with my soon to be fitted DMS race headers and their (proven) TQ and bhp gain I can't really see that I would benefit that much.its already lonely at the pointy end of the field so I welcome someone to chase up there in the next few years with the new GT3 PDK or 991.1 RS lol! Added to that I have the new G engine which takes some uncertainty off the table..

That said you and joe been thrashing those F engines hard on track almost 2 years so far and still going strong....
