Congratulations on an incredible win, the GT3 looks so planted compared to the wayward looking Viper!
The 991 has amazing front end grip compared to a 997 by the looks of things

Not surprising given how much faster the 991GT3 is over the 997GT3. Especially for rally stages.
The Viper is a power house but for a race that long you would want a truck load of spares....
Last viper I rallyed against required 2 transmissions....
The GT4 was a nice little entrant.
Nissan GTR and 991 Turbo S would have been interesting to see in the right hands.
The high RPM would make the 991GT3 the most fun.
The fact that Porsche builds clubsport roll cages for these models makes them excellent entrants for targa rallying.
Anybody wanna run their porsche in Targa Newfoundland??![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

The regs are heavily based around road registered cars with minimal modifications, not bespoke race cars.

The Targo Trio has been my plan all along: Newfoundland, Tasmania, New Zealand. Tassie won't allow the cup car, so I may use the 991 street GT3 for all three!

I was talking about Targa New Foundland in reference to the Cup Car. I talked to Mark Perry 2 years ago and am aware that in Tasmania, no cups. I am planning on running the 991.2 street GT3 in all three targas.

I experimented with them off, but I actually reckon it's better with them on - stopped me getting too "loose" with the rear end, particularly over some of the very bumpy roads we encountered.
It's amazing how much slip angle the nannies allow if you creep up on the slip. Any more slip angle and you are probably only going slower and frying tyres. I hardly ever feel it intervening.
Yes - MPSC2's (tested the Dunlop back to back at Winton and found a noticeable difference)
I ran the Pagid RSL1's - it's a (newish) endurance pad. Has about 3mm more meat in the compound than the stock pads. They are an awesome pads imo.

If you run a street prep'd 991.2 GT3 in Newfoundland, would you be running in the the Grand Touring class? The Targa class requires fully prepared race cars, correct (Cage, fire suppression, etc...)?
