911.R price over MSRP
So I contacted my dealer to see what the likelihood of getting a 911 R. He told me I could have an allocation for $300k over MSRP.
I was curious what other were being told?

In Canada not even all 918 owners are able to get an R - I've spoken to a 918 owner who couldn't get one and he still owns his car. There aren't enough cars allocated. There is one person who is a 918 owner who is flipping his, which I assume is this one. Last week I heard the asking on it was 275k over MSRP, *but* it was still configurable.

The brokers that I've been talking to mentioned $150k-$200k over should get it done when I asked them about the R as I was curious.

No kidding. I have no interest in the car for myself but you have to wonder what's going on. Supposedly Porsche built the R for driving "purists" who missed having a MT in the GT cars. If they aren't going to make it available for the majority of that group who now want it, what's the point of all the hype?

Shizzle I've heard the same. In Canada priority is being sorted even among 918 owners by who were the earliest to buy their 918s. I doubt any will pass up allocations. So unlikely to see a "regular" customer get an allocation other than from 918 owners.
I also doubt the hype will last long once the mt .2 gt3 is announced and we should see some normalcy return to the market adjustment pricing. If you must have an R and are prepared to pay (even a bit) over MSRP that would be the time to do it IMO.
