I just saw and heard up close today my first 2RS..OMG how the hell have Porsche turned what in essence is a modded TTS engine, into something that sounds this good is beyond me..!
It also has a mean and menacing presence which is way above and beyond any other road going Porsche, even in the rather subtle but classy GT silver..

less than two tanks of water for one tank of fuel. May be a different story with higher temps, but you will never stop for water - if you top up each time you go off track imho

Spoke to Manthey yesterday here at the Ring and they are still testing out a setup for the GT2RS. They have a silver one for that.

Yes, the the new GT3 R race car, slotted between the GT3 Cup car and the GT3 RSR. Runs in the IMSA GTD class.

So that's not to bad then, 2 X 5L Tins will see a day at Silverstone with around 200 track miles. With a full tank to finish with.

And not even in the same universe on track. I'd take the R all day long.

Does it make sense that it has road car rather than GTE bodywork?

The car in the video is the GT2 RS 4.0, I believe.

If i made good calculation, it need more 7/8 liters for 150kms because he started the day with his tank full (5liters), reloaded 10liters during the day and again 5 liters to go back home :-)
so for 300kms of track day you can take 20 liters of water with you :-)

They said a full tank can last 3 laps and change on the Ring, that puts it around 20+mins of hard driving.

A normal session on a lapping days is 20mins, some do 30 mins. So basically 5 litres of water will last one session.

Not too much trouble to refuel the water tank whenever one finish a session. Just the hassle of bring water.
