PTS WP with a note that magnesium wheels have now been removed from the WP in the US with the magnesium wheels being a separate line item. Not much left in the WP without the wheels....
Interesting, I wonder if they did this because of the shortage of magnesium wheels.....
Originally the Weissach Package (WP) cost US$31,000.00 (inclusive of the magnesium wheels). Now they took away the magnesium wheels from the package and now as an individual option cost US$13,000.00, and revised WP cost US$18,000.00.
Two things here: First, this would relieve demand for magnesium wheels as a separate item. Second for those who don't care about the magnesium wheels, the car is now optioned cheaper.

Id rather have the wheels than the rest of the W pkg, especially since we dont get the safety equipment. Most of the weight savings and performance in the wheels, not to mention non-Weissach looks a ton better.

It appears that the wheels are only available if you select WP. No WP, no magnesium wheels. But you can get WP without the magnesium wheels.

GT2 RS is lighter with more power. The C7 Z06/Z07 is a blue collar hero car and is the true star in this story. It is 75% cheaper than the uber exclusive GT2 RS.
With less aero, better driver- imagine using this delta to figure out the C7 Z06/Z07's true time at the ring.
