Reaction on the street...

6.2GT3 track-prepped with livery attracted papparazzi on the streets. Girlfriend once got annoyed sitting in car for a few minutes in hotel with all the people shooting the car. 7.2GT3 got motorcycle-thumbs up and WRX-ophile challenges at stoplights routinely. 1.1GT3 gets all of the above and constant awe from kids, ladies, of course, dudes in the Bay Area and LA. I have had so much enthusiasm for the car. It has more exotic presence than ever before. I prefer stealth, but it is quite pleasing to bring excitement to other peoples' lives by simply driving past them. If I were a kid and this car drove by, I would have been jazzed from an aural and visual perspective.
Incidentally, the feral exhaust has been shown to be sexually-arousing to women. I can confirm the reality of this with non-car-ocentric women.

Not surprised to hear the reactions with the 991 GT3. Haven't had much attention in my Porsche - only car enthusiasts and the occasional compliment - it's no GT3 though.
My Shelby GT350 on the other hand has been getting outrageous response on the street - I didn't expect this at all - just wanted a fast car for the track. Countless interactions from young to old alike very similar to the OP. I could never daily drive this car. Just a couple days ago I was parked at a mall getting ready to leave and some girl insisted I take her phone number while showing me ID to prove she was 18. I'm married and declined - talk about trouble.

I got tired of the attention my ferraris get that i wanted a low profile sports car. Thats why i got my 997 MT turbo and GT3. Only enthusiasts knows it. Gets a few attention but not a ferrari.
Now i am getting this week my PTS turbo, that may change, i hope it can still be under the radar. Its just another PORSCHE.

When I got mine last summer (also in Denver), when I was driving home a couple of boys on their bikes raced after me, leapfrogging to take pics. Was pretty unexpected - the car has presence but never thought it would get a reaction like that. I don't care for attention in general but it was great to see how excited they were about a car. I remember the thrill I got as a kid seeing a special car, hell, I'm still that way! Great to see the younger kids still populated with budding car nuts with all the talk of millennials not caring about them.

What do you think?
I live in a 'fairly' wealthy area about 45 minutes outside of Philly.
Comcast, Vangaurd, Phizer, Merck, GSK, etc... 5th largest US city....plenty enough industry/money.
That said, it's still 'Philly'. Still many folks are pretty low key and conservative (read- not flashy) and the car culture isn't like warmer climates.
So, there are a fair amount of nice care. TONS of Beemers, Benz, Lexus. Lots of Range Rover. Growing number of Maseratis. Handfuls of Bently GT's, Jags. Fair amount of Cayennes and 911's. I can recall seeing in person, in the wild no more than 10-15 Ferraris or Lambos in my 38 years here. Few McLarens. Lots of Vettes.
