Are they referring to the car they wrecked at Laguna Seca? Sour grapes, maybe?

Remember that Motortrend also recently crowned the Mercedes AMG GT as the performance car of the 2015. Decent car, but I don't have much faith in the Motortrend if they came to that conclusion, (in contrast to every other car magazine in the world).
Evo is the only magazine I subscribe to, and this is one reason why.

Don't judge a car until you personally drove it. I got a really good offer for my RS and I have a gt3 now. The RS is a better faster car. Sounds better, stops better, very noticeable toque difference, better turn in, faster shifting, faster steering, feels better, everything is better. I would say gt3 is a sport car. However RS now is like a supercar. Even when I parked beside my friends' ferris lambo the RS still looks aggressive and special. RS price is slowly come down now. I personally think the car is worse around 50k over MSRP. Gt3 at around 160k is a bargain and I can truly enjoy the car on track without worrying about and small damage and resell value. Is RS worse 100k over a gt3? I think yes if you want something really special that is the car for you. The last 10% gain will cost 100% in price but that is worse it. Gt3 is a extremely good car but the RS is just that much better.

After 35 plus track events in 991GT3s, can say without any hesitation that the 991RS is on a completely different level. But needs to be driven at 10/10s also very sensitive to correct GEO set up.
The RS goes round bends like no other road car I have ever driven.
Look at the time difference between the 2 cars in the recent EVO test....

Is Porsche just handing MT off the rack cars? Similar thing happened with the GT4. They loudly criticize the car when they first reviewed it, then later received a properly sorted car and quietly retracted much their prior criticism.
Maybe Porsche needs to take a page from the Ferrari playbook and meticulously set up the test cars for the specific track. MT is prone to sweeping judgements and questionable taste. Always has been.

Motor Trend, the bottom feeder among automotive magazines, not doing their homework? Predictable, par for the course, business as usual. They have trouble selling a subscription for $6/year.

I remember when they tested the GT3 against Z28, Randy Pobst said similar thing about GT3's rear stepping out on the mid-corner. Nice thing about GT3 is that the suspension is adjustable. You can easily dial out oversteer and understeer with proper setup.

+1 - I paid $5 for 24 months this year, it was only worth that as my 2 year old son likes to look at the pictures...

I think I'll attach a copy of the MT article and put an ad in for an even up trade to an RS. Do you think I should get a couple more phone lines to handle the volume?
