Come drive down here closer to sea level with us in Texas and we'll "fix" that for you. It's always neat to see the underpinnings of the car, even at my car's expense. I feel like I could almost put together my E46 M3 with my eyes closed, but seeing the 991 GT3 like this is a new experience.
It was mentioned above, but the car has a completely stock exhaust system. I didn't get a chance to mod the thing yet other than for track consumables...which I'm a little grateful for in this case.

Picked up the GT3 Saturday. All is well and now I have a new "G" engine! Working on the break in now. I'll be going straight out of the book but then right back to the track.

Is the "proper" engine break in on the new G motors the same as the original manual calls for? Hopefully getting mine back today and to say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement!

Heck yea. You'll be ready for our sister run then. Badazz. I'm sure like any engine they already spun it up pretty high. On my f10 M5 I broke it in aggressively. This was in 2012. It's running strong w 131k tuned miles. You'll be ok.

I had thoughts of moving to a 991.2 or a 991 rs but now that I have the G motor and the big warranty remains, I'm sticking with the 991!!

Great to hear you are happy!, but just to sidetrack a bit, where does the dealer get off having you sign the break-in procedure? Never heard of that. I would have told him to bug-off and pack sand. Patronizing (condescending) if you ask me....plus, your signature on that doesn't mean squat...think that document would hold up in court????

Just got a misfire in cylinder 6
Hi guys,
Just get back from the local dealer, I got a cylinder 6 misfire in my 2014 gt3. Dealer basically just cleared the message and tell me to see if this happens again. I have done 19000km with my car, never tracked.
I haven’t driven my car for a month when I was abroad. The misfire happened this morning right after I started the car. Rough idle at first and then smooth out. Then the warning light came up. I restarted the car, the message went away. I went straight to the highway, hit redline several times but all seems fine. Can’t get the warning light back again.
I live in Shanghai, so a lot of city driving. No way I can just go flat out 9k everyday without loosing my license. Can someone had gone through this give any suggestions how should I approach this issue?
Thanks,
Steve
