Just for reference, Manthey 991 GT3 RS run a 7:00 BTG lap,

Still to see a 991 GT3 RS, besides the record lap, do a time like this.

Still curious about exact mods on this RS. Anybody here good with German?

- Stock gearbox
- Stock PS Cup 2 tyres (no ultra-hardcore version like AMG GT R or Corvette Z06!)
- 1,8 bar warm tyre pressure on both axles
- 20% more downforce than factory-RS (probably because of the different rear wing-setup) and R diffusor
- Adjustable suspension from the GT3 R (with 12% softer setup)
- Magnesium wheels
- Road-legal racing pads
- 3,5 Degrees camber on both axles
- After a few 1:06.2 min laps it managed its best time of 1:05,8 min on brand new tyres. (hockenheim track)

Thanks Metzeger!
Car is at shop for alignment. Just trying to figure out best set up. Camber numbers still seem to be all over the map:
Many at Trakcar's -2F/-2R.
Kobalt -3.0F/-2.7R
m3irish -2.7F/-2.9R
Manthey -3.5F/-3.5R (albeit on stiffer suspension)
We run more on 991 Cup but again with very still suspension.
Hard to know where to start....

Spacers standard for bumping camber. I was more curious about whether they were able to keep caster correct with that much camber and stock parts but sounds like they were.
On ride height you're below stock (115/275). Any issues with rubbing?

Sorry about the spacers, I probably don't use the proper word: stuff you put in the springs to prevent the dampers to compress to much.

The only hitch being I just switched from the factory Dunlops to N1 Cup2s. That and I bought an ACR-E for track duty. Might not get the RS out very often.

Ah, Cup bump stops per the Manthey brochure. Got it.

Just because I can't tell a difference either way I will go -2.5 rear only and keep -2 front and a touch more rear toe in. 2 mm each side VS 1.5mm each side currently.
Just making sure I get 4 track days out of the rears.
After 4 days they are slow anyway, specially over 70F temperatures, so I'm OK to cord them day 4.
Other than that, I'm ready to start learning from fast Rennlisters about 19", or maybe now the new 20" Hoosiers and what to do with after market parts / setup to make them work with TC and SC still being OK and active. Before next winter anyway, it's officially too hot to track....

Joey Seely of Emotion Engineering likes the car low and corner balanced the car with -3.5 up front and -3.2 in the rear. No rubbing and very even tire wear.
On another topic: Has anyone installed the 911R rear diffuser on the RS? I'm interested but was concerned that the extra downforce in the rear would unbalance the car enough to induce understeer. Any experiences would be appreciated.

Camber also has a lot to do with what tires you run perhaps.
Dunlops needed more than MPSC2..
I felt even tire wear on MPSC2 means not enough use of the grippy outer edge.
Kobalt has a diffuser. I don't need more rear grip but it doesn't hurt to try.
Simple bolt on..

What settings for your sway bars? I'm running stiff in rear and soft up front.
Would love to hear from Kobalt regarding the R diffuser. Purchased via Suncoast?

Depends on the track but at most tracks stiff rear, front medium / middle.
My car now understeers on throttle with the rear controllable under braking.
I'd like it a little more stable in the rear for threshold braking and I can't lower the car further, so will try a bit more toe in.
