Default Harry's laptimer OBD2?

I've been using Harry's Laptimer as a portable data video recorder.
Before I stick in the new upcoming 2 camera VBox, I wonder if anyone with a 991 GT3 connected it to run OBD2 data on it.

I have a GPS amplifier via Bluetooth but no gear, rpm or any temps..
What more can I get out of it?

How does it work?
What hardware should I order and is it easy to configure?

Need to order now for Winterfest!

I use a GoPoint BT1. Works well with Harry's, connects through OBD2 port and Bluetooth. I've had it a few years so there may be other options out there. Used it in my 991 C2S at Sebring, works in the GT3 as well.

Peter, get an AiM solo DL with obd2 connector and smartycamHD. Have whoever you are buying it from set it up properly for you, and then all you'll have to do it mount the camera, timer, and then plug into obd2. You'll have everything you need at that point. Turn on and drive. As soon as you start moving it starts recording. When you stop, it stops recording. Take the SD card out and watch video which has everything overlaid for you

Ordered. Thanks! Hopefully it will arrive before Winterfest.

Still want to have Harry's available.
Aim works similar to VBox and Aim would be another thing to learn when I already have one VBox.

Thanks, if VBox doesn't have HD ready soon, I may need to switch.

Well - it is a plug

1 Insert it into the OBD port.

2 Go to Prefs/Bluetooth to add it to your iPhone.

HLT will discover it automatically. You see that in the Sensor list in HLT.

I'm sure you are already very well aware of this but I'll mention it just in case - when I was trying to figure out HLT vs Aim Solo I joined the HLT forum and found if you shoot questions through the forum Harry returns with solid, useful answers very quickly. You can get all your questions answered by the man himself in a 12 hr turnaround window.

Once it is added to Bluetooth list, just make sure it is connected when you start the car. HLT will automatically use it and capture the data. Then use overlay function in HLT analysis to overlay the data on video as usual afterwards. Pretty plug and play.

They make an android version but I haven't seen or used it, so can't say how well it works.

I have Harry's Lt downloaded on my Galaxy s5 works well (android ops )

I also downloaded an app called "Track Addict " someone recommended

and I prefer and use it to shoot track video with galaxy s5 best holder I've

found suction mounted just inside of left "A" pillar is an "I-Bolt" bought on

Amazon , app has the circuits I run in it's data base , starts automatically
with movement and records lap times automatically @ start finish line on track and while recording video the screen side facing you display laptime

in hundred's of sec, I don't know if it can imported car OBD data abilities ,

pretty fun stuff for next minimal cost
