Default Who has taken their wing off to WRAP...?

Hello-

I'm working with my vinyl vendor to wrap my wing.

They haven't ever done a GT3 and are not sure how the end caps come off.

Two questions:
1. I believe the 3rd brake light connection is located behind the passenger tail light, correct?

2. How do the end caps come off? I'm told they are attached via clips and double-sided tape. I'm reluctant to simply 'yank' them off. Lol. Any insight, ideas, experiences, etc...are GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you.

Don't do it. It's got too many sharp angles. Every one I saw wrapped was peeling no matter who did it

Appreciate the suggestion and sharing your experience.

They did the main part already and I'm okay with the finished product.

Now trying to figure out the end caps.

You know it!

This is the rendering without the top stripes finished.

wow looks great! I definitely like the black stripes over the yellow on the hood, can't wait to see how the wing turns out!

Default Rear Wing

Car looks great.
I also had my rear wing wrapped, great job no issues with pealing etc.
As I remember the electrical connection is under the deck lid on the right side. Disconnecting it, and removing the four bolts in the base the uprights, will allow you to take the wing off. The outer end caps do not come off without the potential for damage.

To remove the spoiler, disconnect the light first from the underside of the engine lid. It is a quick connect that also has a difficult to remove clip that holds it in place.

Once the quick connect is disconnected, pop the 4 plastic caps off the uprights on the engine lid and then unscrew the mounting bolts. They are TORX heads.

When all connections to the body are free, use 2 people to slide the wing upwards. Once free, one person can support the spoiler while the other fishes the connector through the hole.

Not really advisable to remove the end caps, imho.

Thank you VERY much!

Can you advise on how the wire gets fed back through the hole?

It is obvious once it is removed. If they can't figure it out, tell them to stop and you want to come get your car immediately....it is that straight forward.
