Default Brake Fluid and Pads

Sorry if this has already been discussed. What is the consensus on the best brake fluid and pads for track use on cars with PCCB rotors?

Brake fluid is easy. You said best right?

Brembo HTC64
Endless RF650
Maybe SRF

Pads you're limited on choices. Personally I'd run OEM and swap at 50% to keep heat out of the rotors as much as possible.

Depending on use we recommend the Race Technologies RE10 paired with Brembo 2piece discs and the Brembo HTC fluid. We get the by far best results out of this setup with very good longevity. Price is a bit higher than other competitors but it makes up for it in use time.

The RE10 is a designated track pad with good everyday characteristics.

All components are available thru us.

Pagid is not a bad compound but we moved away from it as the characteristics and wear of the RE10 are a lot better. The performance drop of on the Pagid is always quite high. The RE10 stays very stable until about 3mil of wear surface.
We used all compounds out there including Ferodo, Endless, Pagid, PFC etc and none gave us the results that the RaceTechnologies did.

Thats why we among others will use RaceTechnologies compounds in this years IMSA season.
So we don't just sell a product but we also use it in our Pro race program as well.

I've gone through a few threads, there are different threads with users using different pads.

Any users here using the RE10 pads?

Jeff

Hey mate

Quite a few are using the RE10's. Look up user Trakcar. He posted quite a nice write up on those pads.

Tomorrow we unload at Sebring to contest our finish from last year as the longest run PDK car in an enduro in the U.S. We are going to try not to get murdered by the Cup Car Mafia but brakes are a concern for everyone. It's Sebring which is the most abusive track in the world for chassis and brakes but I'm not worried because I have the RE10s. Thanks Ganesh!

I've been running re10 on my rs for over a year now. Really great track pad. Fantastic wear on pad and rotor. Pfc08 ate my rotor 2x as fast. Excellent bite but not too aggressive. They do squeak around town. If you are looking for a solid dual purpose the ts20 is good. I just put these on my 964 which will mostly be a street car.
