RS owners please advise. There is a discernible sound like a click or a clunk followed by revs. Pretty sure it is normal, just wondering if anyone knows the mechanics behind it.

People have asked about this in the past and most have said it is from the side air intakes.

I don't know the exact reason for this one but all the noises from box, diff, engine is exactly what I love most about this car. I must admit when I drove out of the garage I also thought there was something wrong as the noises are stronger than in any of the previous cars and I was expecting a very sanitised car. Fortunately they have kept it as pure as possible (for road use).

It is the side intacks. normal , you will also hear it on down shifting.

do you also hear clunk on 3rd gear going for 4th? thats will be normall .

Chunks and clunks from 1-2.5krpm.. Totally normal! Reason why i sometimes shift myself or put it in pdk sport..

Then there's that whizzzzzzz over 8k when the engine suddenly thinks it's a trumpet!
