Fast cars, entertaining vid. It might not be quite as quick, but I wouldn't trade my GT3 for either one.

Thanks for the link. The ACR is 3 sec faster per lap at LS vs the zo6 (and RS). That's impressive!

Certainly is impressive. I wonder how the GT2/RS will far. It'll be tough to make up those 3 seconds!!

This goes to show everyone how important aero is once you have maximized mechanical grip. The RS aero is not enough to keep up with the ACR. The excessive race car sized ACR aero makes it stable, makes the 640 hp seem controllable. The problem with the z06 is the 650 lb ft of torque. It's medium aero is great when going faster, but the supercharged torque comes on too soon, makes it wild. Race cars don't have superchargers. It is as fast (potentially faster) than a real race car like a GT3 CUP on slicks.
Even the most expensive supercars, with their fancy movable aero don't make the downforce of the ACR.

I hadn't had a Viper in 10 years, next month can't here fast enough. I cannot wait to get the ACR out on COTA!

And ACR is huge value proposition on the order of the markup numbers bandied about for the RS

I wonder how it manages to be so fast with a stupid manual transmission. I mean those guys at Dodge didn't hear about the wonders of automatic trannies? It gains you half a car's length with every shift!

For track performance and involvement, I don't see how any Porsche within 2-3x the price outshines the ACR. Can't argue the numbers.

It wasn't to long ago that we Europeans were laughing about how American sport cars handled. Look who is laughing now. 3seconds and for less $$$$. Talk about shooting way above its price point.

MT are the ones that wrecked the purple RS press car. I guess they got fast lap before it happened.

HAHAHAHAHAHA The guys racing todays race cars like to use their hands without their feet for shifting too!! WHEN RACING THAT IS> A better statement would be.....imagine if the ACR had a tranny like PDK. It would crush race cars with it's 640 hp

Given a choice with the ACR of a manual tranny or a 6 sp sequential.......... I bet most would choose the sequential tranny.

Hey man, that monster is fast enough! Imagine the extra work you have to do downshifting from 150 MPH in a corner! I love to work!
