^^^No harm in asking, just offer what you feel is right or just move on and be patient. We are in for some shaky times in the near future. Things will shake out in the next year or two.

As stated earlier, Ford will give preferential treatment to those folks who bought the 2005/06 GT. Ford is eliminating the stealer ships from gouging customers in that once you get your allocation,, you pick the dealer where you want it delivered to. If a dealer wants to "up charge" you simply go to another one.

That thing is beautiful and every bit as exotic looking (if not more) than anything offered for sale today including LaF, 918, P1, Aventadore etc.... I just hope that the few lucky owners will actually enjoy this car on the road as I am sure that will do little to detract from future value (unless of course someone wads theirs up!).

OP - now that you know that the new GT is going to be impossible to buy new, I would recommend that you save yourself the long drive to attend the NAIAS. It's not a very good show.

Geezuz look at that car, haven't seen anything like this since the Ferrari Enzo.

OP - coworker mentioned to me the FGT will debut at Sebring in March.....might be the preferred venue to see it.

I have never been. Can you give some context to "not a good show". Thanks

What pics do not truly capture is just how insanely long (and low) the car is. It's almost awkward how stretched the dimensions are. I haven't seen technical specs -- is the wheelbase insanely long? Regardless, it certainly looks exotic and entirely unique. Not sold on how well the look will age though

It's a very big car. Bigger than the last one by a lot.

If you will allow me to chime in with my 0.02.

It's cold and miserable in Detroit in January. Heck, it's generally miserable in Detroit any time of the year. Makes it worse when the weather is cold.

Nowadays, even the marques in Detroit, don't debut major products at NAIAS anymore. It's usually NYC or Chicago, with LA followed closely behind.

For example, what's Porsche doing for NAIAS 2016? The 991.2 TT/TTS? For comparison, LA got the GT4 Clubsport, as well as the 1.2 Targa.

You don't have to be sold on how well the look will age. It's the Ford GT.

The race car is more pancaked than even some of the LMP2 cars in the paddock. I spent some time near it this weekend on track. It's shaped like a big arrow. Way more technologically shaped and inspired styling than the previous edition.

Hope to get one. I think it is super sexy. It out-Ferraris the Ferraris. On track it looks WAY WAY better than the 488 GTLM cars.

Here are few photos from the Petersen collection ... the size of the new GT model makes the orginal GT40 look like tiny by comparison

I wonder how Ford will control the secondary market and prevent primary owners from "flipping" the car for insane profit.
These cars will only go up ala the 2nd gen FGT.
