Default 6 point harness

I am looking to install roll bar and 6 point harness. I have found tons of info here on both however i have the adaptive sport seats. What is the best solution for installing the harness? I've seen mention of cutting into these seats (what sort of mess does that make) and also replacing the seats, would love recommendations for best way to incorporate 6 point harness.

harness properly installed, the operative word is PROPERLY... most of what i see at DE is wrong.

You cannot run harness with the adaptive sport seats. Impossible. They will need to be replaced.

Joe is correct, In order to run 6 point harnesses you will need to run aftermarket seats or factory bucket seats. We have an aftermarket seat base mounting solution that has provisions for the sub-strap as well as the lap belts.

Consider these. Easier installation. No sub bar. Easy to remove when not in use.

The Recaro P1300GT. I have one in my cup car. It is OEM in the 991 Cup. They are amazingly comfortable and much more rigid and safer than the older OEM seats. They have head containment halos.

Oh, and they are the seats for winners.

Terry Griffin is your local dealer in Berkeley.

neuroguru – I was also looking at the RECARO 1300 P's but my understanding is that they are only track certified and not legal for road use. Does anyone who is better informed have a view on this? Are the race seats that folks installing above considered road legal? Do you get airbag warning lights on the dash when you replace stock with non-stock seats? I'm also desperately searching for a solution for track (and for driving to the track). I should have ordered the LWBs but they were not option when I first ordered my 2015 car. When they appeared in the configurator on Porsche's website, I was told that adding to my order would have further delayed the car and I couldn't take it anymore. The problem now is that I NEED them for track and buying the OEM LWBs is proving to be impossible until 2017. Any suggestions?

Noel, you will have to live with the airbag light on your dash. Worth the sacrifice IMHO.

Actually I purchased Recaro but haven't installed them yet. Winter project as I'm tracking the spec Boxster at Summit_Point_Motorsports_Park

So does it mean if you install after market race seats that the airbags are disabled?? Whats the fix for this?
