i almost not using my 991 GT3 , last time i drove was 3 weeks ago.
i thought few times to sold the GT3 and get car for everyday , like 991 Turbo or AMG GT-S.
i test drive the Turbo S at the dealership , the GT3 so much better !
engine sound , handling , raw
i can't even explain why i feel the GT3 so much better.
so for now i decide to keep the GT3.
i have also Macan Turbo , fantastic SUV for daily use
but not fun to drive , and my wife using it.
i'm looking for a "fun to drive" car for everyday.
what you guys using?
Thanks

I live in the Museum District of Houston and destroyed a 370Z Nismo using it as a daily. I couldn't even pull forward out of my driveway; it was strictly backing out on an angle. Over the course of the 18 months I used the Z for commuting, I lost a rim and tire to potholes and the front bumper/diffuser to different inclines. Front axle lift is a must for me.
I finally broke down and bought a MINI Cooper Countryman S and then a Mercedes GLA 250 as a daily. I eventually sold the Z in anticipation of picking up a GT3. The GT3 will be parked at a private garage, probably Drivers Source.
I've been very happy with the GLA. It's small but plenty roomy, and has enough grunt to get out of its own way.

I live in the North East so we get cold weather and snow, hence the need for AWD as winter DD.
Summer: 2016 GT3 RS
Winter: 2015 Panam GTS
I have a few other cars that I use for special purposes like making a Home Depot run but for DD, the above work great.

This is my daily 328xi: 6 speed manual, M Sport package, H&R suspension, BBS CHR. Just right combination of comfort, utility and sportiness. Only trouble is it is a unicorn and it is growing in value. I get offers all the time. It's the last of the NA 6 with a manual. We did euro delivery in 2012 one month before production ended.
Sorry OP doesn't really answer your question, right now for a fun daily like this it would need to be a manual for me and have some utility. Not many cars available like that anymore, closest thing is a GTI that would fit the bill.

i love the 458 !
i tried it on track 3 years ago , for around 15 min only
in my memory it was much better then my 991 GT3
3 years gap and then driving the GT3 , i'm not sure .
how the 458 compare to the GT3?

amazing V8 high rev engine
but +4000lb car can be really enjoyable?
i tried the Nissan GTR and even the Aventedor on Track
i was so disappointing from those 2 cars , i really didn't like them.
for some reason i don't like heavy and/or AWD cars (prefer RWD)

Oh how I can sympathize with you!

i guess you can't enjoy driving in Houston , no matter what car you will choose.
only soft suspension cars can "survive"
and soft suspension killing completely the enjoyment.
BTW , with your GT3
where you could find nice roads to enjoy it?

Best daily I've ever owned is the new F150. 4-door, full size bed; 4x4 w/v8... it's a beast. Has more room inside than my Land Cruiser. Amazing what Ford has done with this truck.

is that correct? You are indeed a brave...'hombre'!

We may not be very manly here in the Left Coast, but we tend to play it safe with loose objects hanging near or
above our garage's walls, especially in the vicinity of where we park our gt3s. It might be due with our familiarity
with this natural 'wonder' (see below) just a few miles away from us here in Carmel! Stuff like that tends
to give us a dose of good old fashion 'religion', if you know what I mean.
