Swisstrax tiles are a bit thicker, and are 15 inches square so you need less of them.
Similar product I think.
Swisstrax are made in North America.
...and seem to be very high quality. Very easy to put together.
They were about half the price of Racedeck here in Canada. That may have something to do with the Canadian dollar!
Just a few questions. Where did you get the tiles and Porsche banners from? What do you plan on doing during the winter snow melt on the tiles? By the way, floor looks great.
So the combination of my new GT3, along with this picture thread, inspired me to re-do my garage. Previously it was "builder's beige", with a dozens of holes and shelving from previous owner. My wife (who is a serious "keeper"!) and I removed the old shelves, filled all the holes, prepped the walls and painted bright white with one accent wall in battleship grey. Then installed a Rubbermaid organization system for hanging bikes and miscellaneous items. Purchased two Husky mobile tool shelves. Then we installed a Porsche banner and a dealership sign. Today we installed a Swisstrax floor. Finished.
Beautiful garage, terrific transformation! I love the signs you chose, and the floor design! Now enjoy it!

That's my concern as well. In the winter, my garage is full of water, sand and salt. That's the reason I've just left it as bare concrete. That does look awesome though.

The tiles are Swisstrax. Bought them directly from Swisstrax Canada. www.swisstrax.ca
These are the "Ribtrax" tiles. Snow melts right through them and onto the concrete floor underneath. Then the tiles can be vacuumed or pressure washed.
The banner and porsche lettering I got on eBay. Easy!

The idea, here, is that in the winter all that sand and salt will fall through the tracks. I actually tested it last night (because it snowed here) and indeed the snow melt fell off my wife's car, and through the floor. Still looks perfect.

Thank you for the info and thoughts. Looks like winter is gonna give us another blast tonight.
Gorgeous looking garage. Did you guys do anything else to the concrete floors? The tiles look really good...now I'm torn between these tiles and epoxy floors.

I power washed my garage before installing the tiles. Nothing else. FWIW, the epoxy quote I had was for $6000. The Swisstrax tiles cost $2000, and my son and I did the install in just over 3 hours.
Just had my RaceDeck delivered. Looks really nice. Much more stout than the SportCourt sport tread that I had in there before. Going down on the floor in about a week.
