I could see that. I put in a HD-9 a couple years back and I find it's a barrier (albeit small) to driving the car on the lift. I mean ultimately ample floor space is best for ease to just grab keys and go on a whim. With driveway to support to avoid jockeying cars around. To get my car off the lift I'm moving two cars, unloading lift and then putting two back. All these are better than storing off-site though.

I’ve been planning my dream garage for a while, framing wrapped up last week and I had it roofed this weekend. 1500sqft of floor space and 12ft ceilings downstairs with a half bath, 1000sqft of man cave and guest space upstairs with a kitchen and full bath. Lower roof section will be metal, rest of exterior will match the house. Plan is to be able to stack 8 cars in there, gotta plan for the future haha. Very excited.

Im sure the manufacturer provides specs. I know I checked before putting my 4 post in and the concrete needed to be rated to a certain amount. Asked my builder since the house was only a couple years old and he indicated what I had well exceeded the minimum. Of course I am sure the spec for a triple decker would likely be higher.

I only have a HD-9 but got my concrete garage pad scanned as my house was built in 1985 and I had no clue as to the depth. They are able to measure concrete depth, rebar location etc and provide a depth map showing measurements etc.
