LOL.

For now it looks like I won’t make it to Scuderia, that’s a bit annoying but maybe things will change for the fall event.

Kobalt - is that car from west coast of Sweden? My brother has a colleague, she and her husband have been working on something along those lines.... I haven't seen it, my brother just told me about it.

Have to share this little gem. Great stories. It is fun to watch these men turn into kids when they remember their tricks

As I might said before: not very complicated if you just hire a car on location.
Bringing your own or syncing it with ED is a bit more complicated.

I'm not sure - I just met the owner briefly and unfortunately our paths did not cross on the track so I have no idea of how car behaved.

Hi Kobalt

For the past five years, Tom Roberts of Euro Track Adventures and I have been taking a group to Europe to drive the Nürburgring and/or Spa, and they really have been “trips of a lifetime.” But in 2020, it gets even better:
  • Tuesday, July 14 – Track day at Spa-Francorchamps (yes, you can then give Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and Max Verstappen driving lessons)
  • Thursday-Friday, July 16 & 17 – Two days of driving the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife (these are low-car-count days, not the infamous Touristenfahrten sessions)
But wait, there’s more… it’s not just the driving (but that is, obviously, the focus), but the social aspect, too. More importantly, it’s how we help you prepare for the entire experience.

You’ve heard the joke about how to eat an elephant, right? The Nürburgring is an elephant of a circuit, which means you need to eat it one bite at a time – and Tom and I will feed you information, resources and coaching (videos, virtual track walks, maps, simulator training methods, documents, tips and advice) in the months leading up to the trip to ensure you have the maximum amount of fun (and safety). We’ve been refining the prep process and content for the past few years, and I’m confident you’ll find it the best way to go. And once we get to Europe, Tom, Ron Simons (the “RS” in RSRNurburg and RSRSpa, and certainly a guru of both circuits) and I will coach you, along with the awesome instructors from RSR (yes, you will have an instructor to lean on for help on track).

As part of our group, we have very special dinners that will rival the driving. Spouses, friends, or any other guests are welcome to join you (and we recommend they do). They can even get rides around the circuits. The social times are part of what makes it an unforgettable experience, with many of our past guests having made long-term friendships with their fellow participants. As there is a day (Wednesday) in between the Spa and Ring days, it means you can take your time to enjoy the drive to Nürburg and surrounding area (a spectacular experience in itself). Of course, you can also take a few days before and/or after to explore the area (we will provide you all sorts of touristy things to do and see – and they’re amazing!). Make a European vacation out of it.

Why do I say it’s the “ultimate”? First, to be able to combine Spa and the Nürburgring in one trip is very special – we rarely get dates that align the way they have for 2020. With these dates in July, we can’t get any better weather. Finally, this is not a “one size fits all” trip. No, we will customize your trip based on what car you choose, the instruction you need, accommodations, and so on.

This trip is not for everyone. You will need to have a certain level of driving experience, as we want to ensure it’s fun and safe for everyone. But if you’ve at least been solo driving on track for a while, then we can get you prepared. We’re finalizing the exact costs (Euro-dollar exchange, hotels, etc.), but plan on somewhere between $9,000 and $20,000, depending on what car you choose to drive (we partner with RSRNurburg, who has over 100 to pick from, ranging from Renault Clios to Porsche GT3 RSs). This price covers everything from track car rental, fuel, track fees, instructors, accommodations, and meals. All you have to do is get to Spa, Belgium (1.5 hour drive from Brussels; 2.5 from Frankfurt) by Monday, July 13th. So, your flight, probably a rental car, and any other touristy things you do are the only other expenses.

You can get more information at SpeedSecrets.com/UltimateTrip.

As these adventures fill up very quickly, reserving a spot is on a first come, first served basis (limited to only 25 people). We will require a deposit within 10 days of signing up, and the balance will need to be paid by March 31st. If you’re serious about joining what will be surely be the ultimate trip of a lifetime, reply to this email and let us know ASAP.

If you’ve had the Nürburgring and/or Spa on your driving bucket list for a while, now’s the time to take advantage of the best dates we’ve ever had for our trip. I hope you can join us.

Spa and the Ring…here we come!

Ross
