Makes sense the two-coloured stripes would come available eventually, as this option was photographed at the factory on a factory car (that had once been outfitted with single-coloured stripes, or at least has the same license plate!).

When I was at the factory at the end of August they mentioned that the 2 tones stripe was being evaluated for approval. I guess they've now approved it!

Usual stuff anyway...late allocations will get all the options, not something new really?

You are partially correct. The painted lower side sill is a standard option, but Porsche won't paint the front and rear section. This has to be done at the dealer level.

porsche would have you think that sourcing vinyl stickers in that specific shape and two-tone color (oooh.. aaaah) would necessitate a special trip to heaven to ask St Peter to bless the owner in order to get them for you. what a farce.

I will have Arrow Blue stripes, but standard wheels.
Each to their own, but I found the matching wheels to be too much.

Turns out you can custom order stripe colors for the R. Interestingly, just recently, the option of two-tone stripes just came up. It's almost 5K for the two tone.

5K for two tone stripes...cough, cough, cough

Awesome colour. There's clearly way too many colours I like.

Slate Grey 615 looks hot! It was on my top 3 choices when speccing out my PTS R. I was steered away from it (and Gulf Blue) by my contacts within PCNA because they told me there are several cars specced with those colors. Nonetheless, beautiful color and a perfect match for the R.

I am getting custom colored stickers on side and top and custom painted wheels. Happy with my choices. Saw an R with no stripes and weird interior and it was not my style.

I'm very curious CJ, when you say custom painted wheels, do you mean colors from standard Porsche paint palette (including black, lava orange, red, yellow, UV and etc)? Unless you are granted true PTS, I doubt Porsche will grant you PTS painted wheels without granting you true PTS for the entire car.

Slate looks fantastic; very similar to 997.2 RS launch color Grey Black.
