Well I'm glad that Porsche did the right thing with the RS's and R's! They should have done like Lexus did with the LFA's and made them a quasi-lease for a few years to keep them in the hands of those that deserved them and not the flippererererers...

I hope more VIPs follow their lead. I'm still mad at myself for being too stupid to buy a 918.

Let's not get this confused. Porsche of WEST BROWARD PENSKE is selling the car not Champion. I can assure everyone that there is no cooperation between these two dealerships. Yes it was Champions customer and they were probably offered the opportunity. But the owner has every legal right to sell the car. In my opinion Porsche of West Broward should have declined the opportunity knowing how hard the car is to get. And the owner, who is a 918 VIP, should be REMOVED From the list.

Called the dealer and yes the car is originally a Champion customer. The car is on consignment and the dealer West Broward declined an "offer" supposedly of US$600K from a buyer. I suppose this consignment sale is under consideration of the original owner and will go to the highest bidder north of US$600K. Interesting.

Drive safe,

As much as I like the car and I would take it over any Porsche offering at the moment, this car only makes sense at MSRP.

I'm with you on this one and I personally would have bought one at MSRP (+$10k over max).
The question is how much can a R appreciate if today it sells at $1M?
How much is the 991 RS gonna appreciate when some people bought it at $300k?

Why isn't the car being sold 20 miles away at Champion? I know you guys think I'm nuts but all of these dealers are trading the cars between themselves. Why? because they probably cannot sell a NEW car over MSRP (+ a small %) or 'ol Ferdinand Jr. Jr. Sr. will get pissed off. But... they can sell a USED CAR for WHATEVER they want! Call me crazy but how have so many RS's wound up from dealer to dealer? They're willingly paying each other in order to resell for a higher price.
