I did ED in Macan and 2016RS.
Both had warranty work done and I’ve never heard of ED affecting warranty at all, so I can’t imagine that’s the reason.

The only thing different now is that maybe it’s seen a German dealer?
I have no info from the dealer yet, so we wait.

Seems most likely explanation. Somehow the work triggered a warranty "transfer" or something to Germany and it voided the US warranty in the process, not in reality but due to an error.

Hi Trakcar, I am so sorry that you're going through this, I know how annoying this can be.

I've sent you a PM on a potential resolution path that worked for me in the past. If it resolves your situation, I'd be happy to share it with the larger community so that it may help others.

^^^ Thanks for the PM.
Others as well for the good advise and contact info for PMNA.

Still no call or email from my dealer.
i suppose they can’t get a hold of Porsche during the Holidays so this may have to wait till after the New Year next week.

Still bizarre that the dealer claims that another dealer has put a void on my cars warranty due to aftermarket parts.
When the only dealers that have had the car was Manthey in Germany and Reeves in Tampa.
Both have only seen the car bone stock, straight from the factory even the brake pads.

But these gearboxes are pretty bullet proof and it shifts fine, just a small leak..

So it’s just as important to find out why that happened and if it’s perhaps better to service our cars elsewhere as it is to get this PDK leak issue resolved.
Lets hope it’s all a misunderstanding, maybe the local service advisor gave them my Purple .1RS VIN#, so I just left another voicemail and text but maybe they are not working today.

Are you using same license plates? Maybe that confused them with aftermarket parts?

Could be, but I would think they go with VIN#.
The correct plate is in the car..

Agree. Just weird they are logging aftermarket stuff on lizard when it had none...

When we moved back to Florida and changed dealers when reviewing service history couple things from one car were logged in the other. Both were Porsches purschased and serviced at same dealer.

Hi Trackcar, are you seriously considering to buy an AMG GTR Pro? If yes, I could share with you my experience with the regular GTR on track at the Ring and many other European tracks.

What concerns me is Porsche can’t fix a leaky seal on PDK and they have to replace the whole transmission!

I hope TrakCar ordeal is just a paperwork mix up. I think that if I get back into track days like I use to do the new Corvette will be my choice. They will back the car, my neighbor owns a Chevy dealership and parts are much cheaper. I’d do a McLaren but I went a few days ago to trade in my 2018 gt3 for a 600lt or 720s and found that I do not fit in any of them.

Love to hear your experience for sure!

I’m only serious about getting this solved after the holidays with Porsche. I’m signed up for Jan 4th at Sebring and again mid January so I’ll see first what’s going on and see if I can pickup the car while Porsche sorts this out. Maybe they have a GT car loaner for me LOL.

I think the AMG GT Pro is the best #2 alternative. Just looking into it to see if it comes with Rollbar.

But AMG GT Pro just lost out to the new GT4 on EVO COTY.. but I think the GT4’s are a ways out, certainly the PDK GT4RS.
Depreciation on an AMG is brutal and I’ve seen quite a few go in limp mode..
I didn’t like the GT R I drove at the GP track at the Nurburgring but it may have been not setup right.
Its the best effort AMG has made with the extra aero and manual adjustable shocks and sway bars. I’ve a friend with a GTR that may let me do a few laps to feel it out.
Although Renntech isn’t well known for track used cars, they do know what the cars need and I live just a few miles from Renntech..

Best one I found so far, it has a bunch of crap on there I don’t need but it’s available and there aren’t many for sale.

Otherwise it’s Camaro or Mustang, I think.
Both cheap and seem to hold up on track.

Perhaps I fit in a C8 but I’d like to see how they hold up on track first...

Anyway, my mind starts wondering on Google and trade in values KBB over the Holidays waiting to see what Porsche will do, but let’s wait and see first..

Should have never gone with Lizard Green, Peter.

I am sure it will all get sorted out.
