Trakcar, the isle of Man part of the trip looks fantastic. It seems like a beautiful place. I hope you and Mrs TC had a blast! I hope to get there too some day, regretfully I won't be in anything fast enough this August

To Henry, sorry to hear about your tragic accident. I'm glad that you're making a swift recovery and that you're out there enjoying that amazing machine. We got to chase a couple of those monsters around NBR and Spa, they go like the wind! I hope you get out on track real soon, have an amazing time!

On the HSC Manannan, a 96-metre (315 ft) wave-piercing high-speed catamaran car ferry :-)
Back to the UK today, on track at Anglesey circuit tomorrow

Trakcar: Have a safe journey on that lovely boat and enjoy Anglesey , when the sun shines the views of the Snowdonia National Park are truly spectacular.
Youll enjoy the track too.

Finally did Anglesey, besides it being breathtakingly beautiful its fun also.
Didn't find many good on board video's, here is my 1 tank of gas result :-)

Ran a 1.38, but never really got a chance to clean up the lap and my TBL showed a 1.34.
After lunch they made the track much shorter and so the traffic became very bad, my front pads are super thin, so I figure we go explore Snowdonia as the weather was so beautiful and save the pads for tomorrow at Oulton Park.
Called two dealers; Chester and Wilton and both told me they are booked 3 weeks out and hung up on me when I asked if they could quickly change my front pads in the next 2 or 3 days. Nice.

Have tools and handy people coming to the track tomorrow.

We ran the car out of tires and front pads today at Oulton Park.
Got the pads replaced before noon, the promised rain, never came
The car was doing double duty between myself and a friend.

Oulton Park is a great fun track, we really had a great time!!
Lots if bumos and elevation where the car gets light and squirrelly, very technical.

A few laps at Oulton park.
With more time, I would have found a few more seconds..

^That is a fast and flowing track- I can see how as you get familiar, the areas for speed are where the cambers are negative or the crests get you light and placement of the car is everything (not to mention slick grass and guardrails so close...). Definitely a track that separates men from boys!

Thanks again for posting your adventures.

BTW- is your windshield cracked?

Montoya - yes, that’s not a track you get easily bored with.
I think there is a lot of time in my lap, but it’s so bumpy, cambered and with blind corners, I can’t even guess how many seconds.
Maybe 4, maybe 8? New tires would give confidence and that’s very needed at this track to commit!!
Anyway, I just went fast enough to see the big inning of the flow of the track, feel the car get light and move over crests, etc.
Oulton is a special place!

Not cracked, I think you see the radio line that goes around the mirror area?
Bad video quality as the tear off scratched badly - even after I cleaned the wipers when I removed the first layer tHt didn’t scratch. Weird.
