Sooo, back on topic, Dark Knight. I agree the door recess is great. I don't use a holster but rather, a microfiber towel below and above so it is concealed and easier to get out with one hand. I love my G43 and it has replaced my Kimber micro carry which kicks like a mule. Great piece for very close encounters, as it is inherently inaccurate for longer ranges. For regular concealed carry, not enough rounds.

the right to self defense allows one to resist the tyranny of the monarchy, to keep them from doing crap like quartering troops in your house or wifes vagina, the 2nd amendment allows you to exercise your rights in the other amendments

I used to keep gun between the side of my seat and the door sill, under seat sometimes results in it sliding into pedals on hard braking, LWBs make wearing a holster difficult, actually i wish Porsche would build hidden storage compartments under carpet where back seats would be, but w/LWBs I guess you could never reach them due to lack of recline

Why would you even carry a gun with you???
"Why does a dog lick his b*lls?
"Because he can."

And so too, the free and frequent exercise of the Second Amendment, facilitated by my Concealed Carry permit.
Because a**holes in the world.
The Second Amendment was not crafted for the exclusive use of 'militias'. It was in recognition of the fact that free citizens should have countervailing protections from overbearing or lawless oppressive governments. Recall that the Revolution would have been impossible for an unarmed populace.

I don't expect Europeans, nor those from other cultures to understand nor empathize. And, I don't care.
I've a pistol in my vehicle. I have a 1944 Remington Rand in my bedside table. My wife has an anniversary gift from me, a Smith&Wesson 357 Highway Patrolman heavy frame revolver in her bedside stand. Our children have been instructed by professionals, and shoot several times a year with me. They have no unhealthy curiosity about firearms that can get small children killed, nor unnatural fear of handling a firearm.
Koreans don't own pistols.
Americans don't eat dogs.
Every culture has its own unique features. I prefer my own.

It was crafted as a direct result of the militia's success for exactly the purpose you stated. I highly doubt anyone could foresee where we would end up today.

I believe the founding fathers would agree now more than ever the second amendment has relevancy, we have a culture war and a war on the police in a class warfare jealousy society, where criminals roam freely controlled by a tyrant gone mad. Firearm ownership is about freed just like auto ownership is freedom.
