Well your dealer is correct it is a awesome car.........but make sure you're on same page as you might be expecting a road going car to show up but this is what you ordered ha ha. Either way you'll have great time when it finally delivers!

My SA said gt3R.. But also that they weren't sure it was being built.. So, contrasting info makes the forum fun

In pff.de there is a chat about 991R/GT3R that there exist a Erlkönig which have the GT3 Body and just the RS spoiler.
if it will be limited to 300 cars. What will be naked MSRP? (I guess 210k€ (991GT3RS is 183k€))
And how much it will be sold above?

Those guys have a pretty poor track record in my experience...
I figure there are a few obvious gaps in the lineup. With the success of everything GT you might shoot for more than one...
$220k, 535 hp / 3055 lbs, PDK?
Above the GT3 RS you've got a spot for something faster where the GT2 used to sit, and we know the RS engine isn't making everything it can. ~5.7 lbs per hp, and I'd think they'd want PDK for their top dog to go GT-R hunting.
$152k, 475 hp / 2950 lbs, manual only?
Between the GT3 and RS is the next obvious gap and 3050 lbs is a more correct weight, though it'd likely be slower than a GT3 around the track at that spec, so 2950 lbs would be tempting if it's manual only- that shouldn't upset the RS apple cart.
$108k, 430 hp, wet sump and 3050 lbs?
You could argue that you can slot a track oriented car between the GT4 and GT3- near the GTS, but significantly less streetable like the GT4. This last one seems tight, could be a Cayman or a 911, but demand for the GT4 was such that it's tempting to capitalize on it.
I'm purely speculating, by the way- I have zero clue if anything like this is actually in the works, it just seems to fit how they think. If they are, I'd expect them to roll out one after the other to maximize press coverage rather than all at once, and it'd make sense for the middle one to come first. We'll see...

@Pete,
Think you are spot on in your analysis. Seems like some of the premier dealers in Europe got some inside info about the 991R. MT somewhat limited edition and gt3 engine. Porsche has seen the demand for MT on the GT4 and will make a MT gt3 for those that want one.
Personally I think the GT3 is great with the PDK. But there is probably a market for a non aero gt3 with MT. So why not.

Can't wait to see the 911R/GT3R street version, I think it won't affect the GT3RS since it has less power and narrower body.. It's more on if you want a retro style lightweight 911 with a manual gearbox and strong NA engine.
