i'm thinking of replacing my GT3 , not sure why

You shouldn't feel weird… I couldn't connect with my 991 GT3 either, and it was my 3.5th GT3, so I'm not some newbie that bought their first Porsche just because it was "car of the year."
I think it's a terrible street car, and worse than every GT3 predecessor, despite the increase in creature comforts. The car is ONLY fun driving 10/10ths, and these opportunities come around infrequently (if you are irresponsible enough to take them). I sold mine after less than 3 months of ownership - a personal record for shortest ownership duration.
On the track, of course the car is superb. But then if you're only buying explicitly for track use, a race car fits the bill better.
For me, the 991 GT3 is in no man's land.

i believe with 991 GT3RS it's even worst because of wider tire
more grip.
so you sold your 991 GT3 and what car did you bought instead?
and i guess you are right , if you enjoy the GT3 only on the track
i'm sure there is more track cars that more fun (not sure which ones)
maybe it's not the issue with the 991 GT3 , maybe it's in general
to drive such a high limit car on the street it's not fun , because it's very hard to drive on the limits , and on the limits it's where the real fun is.
i thought about the Mclaren 570S
i don't like the design and i prefer NA engine
but lightweight car with hydraulic steering can be great.

I'm moving onto a 650s. It will be my second McLaren. I'm in the minority with my opinions on the 991, especially in this forum, but this is why all these different cars exist - to suit all the different desires of all the different enthusiasts out there. Theres no right or wrong. No point keeping a toy that doesn't suit you.

Interesting thoughts by all, but if you don't love a car no need to keep it, just keep looking until you find that one that's a keeper! Personally I fell in love with the 991 gt3 and I don't think I'll ever fall out of love with it, I'm keeping it for the rest of my life!

many reviews say the 650S even more "sterile" ,
that's not true?
what other cars you think i should try to test drive?

Agree with NateOZ. I'm hoping my RS will fill the GT3 void when it comes. Love my "slow" GT4 way more than my 991 GT3.

The GT4 is the sweetheart of the Porsche sports car range right now. WAY more fun on the street than the 991 GT3.
I'll tell you why:
1. The manual transmission makes is more involving. No question about it. It's a very slick transmission, too.
2. The GT4 sounds better 90% of the time. 991 GT3 is only better at WOT (and for some that is still questionable).
3. GT4 shares the same GT DNA, so you have a solid front end, good pedal weight, good shift weight, etc - all those little details that make GT cars special. So the GT4 doesn't give way to the GT3 in this department.
Sure, the GT4 isn't as fast. But who cares? It's fast ENOUGH.
The GT4 put an instant smile on my face. I didn't have to think "hmm…do I like this car?" With the 991 GT3, I was thinking that question during my entire ownership.

everyone has their own opinion for me i find i make excuses to go drive more just to take out the GT3 instead of using my daily driver to pick up milk, i take the GT3! I love it more and more every time i get on it! I also like how the car has two personalities, drive it in auto and feather the throttle and you can say you are driving an electric car barely any noise, throw it in manual down shift by 2 or 3 and the beast starts to roar then slam on the pedal and let that shift at 9,000 rpm give you whiplash
@pelo911 go buy an F12, it that doesn't do the trick for you i am not sure what will
