Love it, but if I pull the trigger, No way the neighbours will put up with me.

That's easy to solve. Move. I am sure that British Columbia would welcome another ''Lichtgrün'/Birch Green'. I think the quota of 'exotic colors' on Porsches are three per Province in Canada and five per State here in America (we have a bigger population, you know!). After that color quota is met, you get into the costly 'PTS Vanity Indulgence' tax which is worse than the dreaded 'Gas Guzzler' penalty familiar to most of you on the Monroneys!
The only exception to that in US tax code is the State of California...here there are no limit on crazy colors on Porsches and everything goes! No PTS quotas...
'Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends'
Brought home an official sample of Lava Orange and compared to my wife's 2008 Boxster LE RS Orange (same as 2007 GT3RS). Lava Orange is closest to the old blutorange/tangerine than it is to Gulf Orange, Pastel Orange, Signal Orange or RS Orange. Here's a photo for those who may be on the fence about PTS.

That photo of your wife's car reminds me once again why I love so much 'RS Orange'. It's a shame that color is no longer available from Porsche via PTS. It was last allowed in MY2010. 'Signal Orange' has not yet been requested for PTS on a 991/981, so it's not on the current PTS list.
I also have a photo that shows 'Gulf Orange'* with an 'RS Orange' Boxster in the background which helps evaluate 'Gulf Orange' in contrast with that lighter shade of Orange!

*The only solid 'Orange' colors available today via PTS are 'Gulf Orange' and 'Pastel Orange'. That is if you don't count 'Lava Orange' which is available on the RS and as a 'special color' in some 991 models. More about those orange hues in another future chapter for this thread.

Speaking of Orange and Iroc. A friend of a friend owns the Donohue car and it now lives in Melbourne and I see it quite regularly.
Amethyst, I am seriously considering as the right kind of purple, so is Aubergine.
Slate Grey awesome. but there are so many 50th ani, .2RS and now GT3 that are grey.
I'm definitely going for PTS now that it's available. There is a part of me that wants to sticks with bright colors as it's an RS but another part of me that wants to go with classic, sumptuous colors.
I need your input guys.
Arena red: absolutely loved it in classic turbos. Will it look too out of place on the RS?
pastel orange: I love the faded 70's vibe I get from it.
Classic red: not sure how this differs from today's red or carmine red but from the pictures it looks a quiet brighter than those two.
Phoenix yellow: a yellow take on pastel orange
Any other recommendations
And I really want black but f that, I'm not paying PTS prices for it.
Also I really like the older versions of Karminrot (carmine red) used in the seventies, which had a pink hue to it. Does anyone know if what color is closest?
Just to give you something to think about while you're laying in bed awake (even though I think this one is just "Green" not Signal Green):

Gents: Please, I caution you to be careful with these apparently definitive statements on what the color is on some of the photographs posted in a forum. This is not 'Green'. It is not 'Signal Green'. It's 'Gelbgrün/Green Yellow', code 137. And is currently one of my all time favorite greens available via PTS.
